I would watch Marianela Nuñez all day is I could. She's so beautiful and makes everything look so effortless. And you can tell that she LOVES to dance by the look on her face. She's so beautiful and an inspiration to me. She should be the picture in ballet text books under the word "ballerina". She's so lovely. I would kill to see her preform in person.

alina and thiago would hav been a better romeo and juliet couple or thiago and marienela... alina has that young innocent looking face of juliet and she's a GREAT actress.
@bolshoiboy8 alina will just be partnered with kobborg in romeo and juliet. but i love marianela over alina and i do not care about the latter's future performances. marianela is scheduled to take on so many performances this autumn 2011-2012 season which includes romeo and juliet. i wonder who her partner will be. i hope it's pennefather.
@kkiimmiissiipp boy if it IS my Rupert who partners her I'm good to buy tickets and leave Paris for London, that's sure! when can we be sure who is gonna dance what?
@bolshoiboy8 i agree. actually, i find it questionable that they put on dvd Manon which features acosta and rojo again. they're so boring. well, at least here in La Bayadere, Marianela is in it, and she stole the show as Gamzatti.
@kkiimmiissiipp Acosto and Rojo are the most amazing Des Grieux and Manon. They are superb artists and work very well together, you can see that. If they have recorded three ballets together...there must be a reason behind it, don't you think?
I like Marianela, but she didn't steal any show. They are all beautiful through their own merit.
This was filmed in Jan. 2009, and is expected to come out on DVD by Decca. But unfortunately Decca seems to be in no hurry to release ballet DVDs. It may come out sometime in autumn this year at the earliest, but I wouldn't bet on it. And another thing; Marianela just came back from a leg injury for this filming, so her balance and jumps are a little reserved compared to her other performances.

No! Thiago and Marianela were filmed in Swan Lake this year for release on DVD in the Autumn.
