  • Wow...I love the quote. Pretty amazing stuff

  • This is SO cool....you should make movies for theaters xD That'd take a lot of work o_o..... STILL cool though. :)

  • again... wow... i love ur vids... ur amazing...

  • Im sory it made me reallt think about posting. I dont like volience. dont take me as a crititc. I understand but it does move me but to sad.

  • Great work!!!!

Love the scenes....the music and fx!!!

    Congrats

  • Duuuuuuude, the sounds of the flapping reminds me of Neil Gaiman's Sandman comic when Dream and Death are talking. The Sound of Her Wings

  • Deep Stuff. (:

  • fantastic!!!

  • genius at work. simply: wow !

  • WOW! i love it! :D

  • so the "soul collector" is the visitor at midnight right? when she killed herself?

  • That's right Jamie

  • e.e ahce cortos pero pone musica al final en los creditos, pero yo digo ,

¿ que coño a puesto de musica ? el tic tac ese ?

  • ok

    nice realisation

    but

with strictly no background information on the 2 characters,

the plot is of no interest

writing the story is important too :)

  • i dont understand the need for plot or character background history or 'story writing' in this film at all.. why must everything be laid out on a plate for the viewer? One moment in time to see and try to relate to the feelings and emotions of another human actually needs a whole background? This emotional artwork, not an episode of a series?

  • why do you need background information on the personification of Death? it's an archetypal figure known throughout history and the world. the other character can be identified with humanity itself, eventually we're all going to have to encounter death at some point.

  • did you really kill your own charachter?

  • (screams in fear and wets herself)

  • "Made under Creative Commons".

Well, well, but how should one use such a bad quality source like a youtube video? Where can I get the original version?

  • Amazing! Like I said you guys make SL look soo good! how you film with that game is amazing and the darkness in rendering makes it even better. Art in Machinima! my cup of tea!

  • I think I dreamed during 2:41 minutes...

    This is excellent Machinima

  • OH MY GOD! It's just so spooky!

  • GREAT job, looks-wise and directing. Nice concept... I'm sure you can get "extras" for your next one... I'll gladly volunteer to be an extra in your future projects

    5 stars

  • Cool! You've been able to create this great spooky climax! Congrats!

  • Is that all there is? Is that all there is? Well if that's all there is lets break out the booze and have a drink my friend cause that's all there is...... P.L. ....

  • ask me in game: CodeBastard Redgrave. beta2 is about to come out.

  • this, woman, is absolutely stunning! btw maby you will be interested to know im working on a machinima cam, maby you could find it useful for your work. *kisses* Codie

  • Why didn't they prerender it in a 3D Modeling program? Making films in realtime engines is stupid because you can't get smooth clean animation and you end up with horrible scanlines on the edges of the models. Besides all of that the story of this film was just crap. I didn't understand what was going on at all.

  • Loved the Raven Head.

  • The Red Fairy got scared.

  • it's like a short 2 min. vid of an awesome movie...you make an awesome movie maker.

  • loving this! awesome machinima! bring on another ep

  • Spooky

  • Ths peice of Macinima is one of the best I've seen in SL by far! I love the mood and tone in this work. I really hope to see more I really do! :)

  • outstanding job with the dark/B&W effects mixed with a hint of color. Amazing how short and well put together this was. It reminds me of the candies a little sweet mixed a bit of sour.

  • hey no problem, I know good cinema when I see it...looks comparable to on of those odd yet memorable good student films...and actually as I see it again..it makes for a very good teaser..possibly a continuation of an afterlife? Will she have a job to do? business unfinished? great cliffhanger hehe again, kudos!

  • looks great! only thing is...it doesn't look complete...

I mean , what brought her to that end? And what about after? It seems it only portrays a small scene , a moment in a persons (second) life. Will there be more? You have a great sense of timing and a flair for drama, so I hoe there will be more...and more about that scene too.

    great job

  • It's just a moment -- well-captured.

    Beautiful attention to detail, thanks.

  • How'd you do this? It's fantastic!

  • Wow! This is sooooo cool!

I hope we get to see more soon ;D

I'm glad I saw the link in that Flickr picture comment, haha.

  • Beyond Amazing. :)

  • omg this is like a game like silent hill and after the video u fight and run with the gun 0.0

  • That is awesome!!! Im sorry if someone already asked, but where did you get the clothes for the girl?

  • Dress is from Ivalde, it's called Vivviann flapperdress cabaretchatnoir.

  • Thank you sooo much! Great job!

  • How creatif! I just loved the dark, sinister mood and the grafics were wonderfull. Not to mention the story was really well put together!

    Keep it up :D

  • wonderfull

  • Wow. Just wow.

  • superduper trace! I love the mood, angles and colours.

  • wow... something that combines CC, machinima, and SL... you have hit on all my favorite subjects. :) the guy who runs freesound is actually a very good friend. nice work!

  • Nicely done, beautifully shot

  • Oh and pardon, my first paragraph should've been:

    THIS ROCKS!!!!

Great testament to the achievement of SL machinima used for less-than-funny purposes.

BTW, I find I often have to add a touch extra contrast and saturation to a video encode before I upload it to YouTube.

  • The sound added a lot to this atmosphere; wish we had more rich sonic environments inworld. So often, I see clocks that don't audibly tick when I get very close, and I wonder, "WHYYYY????"

  • Reminded me a bit of Donnie Darko except with the raven instead of the rabbit. Fantastic!

  • excellent werk... second life has more to offer than GTA (my canvas and muse). i see i must improve my skills. thank you.

  • Fabulous movie trace :)

  • Trace:"It's looking a bit dark on the youtube render"

Oh yeah, its dark alright, hairs on the back of my neck are standing up. Great work.

  • excellent and touching video thank you

  • Thank you Trace, it's an honor.

  • Woah. Beautifully done.

  • crap, i've got 1.5 gig of memory and SL never looks this good for me. Nothing but lag. What am i doing wrong?!?!??

  • What sort of L2 cache levels are you running and what is your SD burst-pipe threshold for polygonal rendering i.e. what does your graphics card max out at (re: bitmaker interface) with the bips high and how is your clock munching the bits? I.e. it's a salad-matrix config with a chain only as strong as its weakest link.

  • VERY well said ;)

  • Amazing work, Trace.

  • Outstanding work.

    Congrats.

    And thnx.

  • wow, when that shot came my heart jumped, amazing

  • Incredibly beautiful! Your sound editing, sets, cinematography, everything.

  • Awesome movie Trace! Excellent example of what some imagination can do in Second Life. I love this XD
