  • Why don't we have games like this today? :-(

  • Minecraft for commodore 64!

  • I remember this. I had it for my Amiga. It was garbage. I also don't remember Castle Master receiving any accolade that made it a "SMASH HIT".

  • i hopean intro for blockland comes out ^.^

  • If i known this as my current age now - and i Knew what software and hardware was like - this video was brilliant at tending me across - I would have purchased the product. Talk about selling software, in that day that would have sexied me over. Even when i first experienced it as a kid and got my kid to by the software i got my dad or whoever to spend a massive at the time 24.99 for the full product, which is like a modern day budget game. Amazing Stuff and amazing product..

  • I've created lots of PC games in it, see my channel

  • What's around that corner?

    A BIG BLUE FUCKING WALL

  • But can it run crysis?

  • I've got the C64 version, I remember the box itself being pretty impressive, although of course all of the screenshots and most of the video were of the Amiga version... which just made me want an Amiga even more!

  • 4:00 so that's where the Lost writers got their goofy ideas from ...

  • omg... i used it on a 80286

  • Who needs cad when you have 3D Construction Kit!

  • Oh man, I used to watch this tape over and over and OVER AGAIN. Such nostalgia. <3

  • "sculpt the streamlined contours of an award winning racing car" with 8 polygons :D

  • I had this and the VHS, I remember the space shuttle model would bring the frame rate down to 1/2fps lol. What did they call the system....something "scape"??

  • i have the C64 version of this with all the trappings still (including the VHS tape)

  • A long long time... My first 3D aplication

  • You know what this program reminds me of? ZZT.

  • 3:44 laaaawl, "sophisticated responses to your ever action" and then the coconut drogs like a lead weight.

    classic.

  • I remember this on Atari, had it on my 1040ST, always used to freak me out when I turned off horizon. Seriously, it really upset me back then lol

  • The only limit... is yourself

  • I had this on the spectrum.... didn't look like this :-/

  • Looks interesting.

  • Gosh I wish I had this, instead of mariopaint back in the day

  • 3DCK was an amazing piece of kit and very easy to use. A great example of power with usability.

I would love to know what the music is in this video - I used to play it just to listen to the tune.

  • It is pretty incredible for the technology available at the time... and guess what! all movable enemies/friends are non-sprites!

  • my brother loved this, I never got into it though. haha

  • One of the big limitations of this software, unfortunately, is that it will only read one keyboard key at any given time. This wasn't fixed in version 2, either.

  • I wonder who the narrator is. He narrates everything.... ever.

  • Watch the very beginning of the video, the mansion you have always dreamed of? Its a BUNGALOW! lol awesome stuff!

  • A futuristic car for my driveway? God damn why cant i drive an F1 on the highway? Damn !

  • I aint taking the biscuit out of the package mind, its EXTREMELY powerful, you can create doctor whos TARDIS with ease, because the area from point 1 can lead to an area to point 2 with a much bigger area. Its very powerful indeed for its time, even on the most limited of 48kilobytes of ram. Very impressive stuff!

  • Charge down the pitch? Stagger jerkily more like it. Impressive in its day, but time hasn't been kind to these early attempts at creating a 3D world.

  • OMG i used to spend hours messing with this!! i got the VHS tape too!! :)

  • You kept it too? I take it you have the whole box also? Not just the VHS Cassette ;) - Ok which one you got, i have the AMIGA version, all versions had the vhs free cassette (full price) even the 8 bit versions!

  • Yeah i got the Amiga version too, it came in a big black box with a flip up cover and the cassette inside!! Awsome!! :D It just seems soooooooo dated now tho lol :P
