Disney can make great movies, but Pixar always makes great FILMS. Any self-respecting cinephile knows there's a difference, but I believe the audience does too, subconsciously.

I think you're missing the point: Disney owns Pixar, so Pixar movies are, in fact, Disney movies. People who work at Pixar are proud to be working with Disney. It's just stupid to choose sides about it: It's selfish of you.
I'll also add that I'm not, in any way, supporting anything hideous spawn of Disney networking nor am I saying everything from Disney is absolutely amazing.

I think that Disney as well as Pixar want to take you into a nice, warm world and teach you a valuable lesson in beautiful movies. And I want to give credit to the right company, but the actual people who made it will see that everyone loves it. The Emperor's New Groove, Atlantis: The Lost Empire, Lilo and Stitch, Treasure Planet, Brother Bear, Meet the Robinsons, (Hannah Mon-... I kid, I kid.), The Princess and The Frog... the list goes on.
I remember when I saw the scene where Carl floats away; it was so amazing! You actually sympathized with him and I had a mixture of emotions like sadness, happiness, and excitement mostly. Up is a winner!

I agree. Since the Hannah Montana fever broke out and Disney stopped doing 2-D, Disney's been making crap after crap. Now movies like Meet the Robinsons and Princess and the Frog were good, and they're also making a Rapunzel movie, but yeah, if it weren't for Pixar over the years, Disney itself would be broke.
I've noticed that only the Pixar movies and the animated (not CG) films from Disney really are the greatest. Take, for example, the Princess and the Frog. It really captures the spirit of the old movies while keeping the characters more modern and believable. But always, always ALWAYS did Pixar have the truly thoughtful movies.
What made Bolt good was not only Lasseter but also some original inspiration from Disneys side in terms of visual influence by story artist and director Byron Howard and Chris Williams.
Does anyone know what the original song that starts at 0.53 is? If memory serves me right, it was a song that was released quite a while ago. its the bit where the violins come in....
