  • Benny Hill's cross??

  • how can that thing balance its self??

  • i just wonder if i could fit my 110 lifan engine into this :P hahaha

  • i wish i had one of those tracks in my back yard

  • Is this Duratraxx DX450?

  • Is that the venom?? Nitro or electric????

  • rofl

  • Awesome toy

  • Out of the Venom GPV-1 and the M5 cross is better if im looking to race competitivley?

  • Well that depends what they race around your way, the M5 Cross is great fun, as is the GPV-1, but if you have no one to play with you'll be in aclass of 1

  • how much is it?

  • How do these stay up

  • @connora376 im guessing internal gyro as well as the spinning tires. just like a bike son just like a bike...

  • Does it run a chain?

  • yup proper shock, forks, chain and sprockets, cheapest crash you'll ever have ;-)

  • @Desawa82 Fastest reply ever ;)

  • geil

  • how do that 1:26

  • What about showing us a full lap...... it would be more interesting I suppose!

  • Any streetbike tyres for these? I want a supermoto replica :)

  • Funny you should say that, yes they do optional low block knobblies, and proper racing slicks so you can make a Super Moto is you wanted to!

  • wtf why they dont fall sideways?

  • good model. would be nice to have an articulated rider with some movement, looks a bit static.

  • Hahaha these are sick!!! It makes me wanna just go smash through their track on my 250 hahaha. I want one of these so badly!

  • THis looks great, is it stock? What battery/motor etc?

  • Were did u get that is look class

  • Coolest thing I've seen this month,

  • Thats Awesome

  • can any 1 help just got this bike standard but when i run it the motor is spultry and no power its not fast all.? any 1 got ideas?

  • Available now at Modelsport UK.

    RTR version: £219.00

    ARTR version: £159.00

  • 1:1 scale is pretty gd too

  • Yup, real bikes, on road and off road are awesome, but racing RC hurts a lot less when it goes wrong!

  • @Desawa82 it does hurt the wallet though haha

  • @Desawa82 well if you tried to ramp over yourself with the r/c and it hit you in the face it would hurt a lot more then if you fall off doing a wheelie

  • @Hinckle66 Funny you should say that, and yes I've done both, falling off the back of a wheelie definitly hurt more!

  • @Desawa82 But thats why you get back on the bike and try even harder :)

  • how much how much how much...in uk sterling £.....?

  • check the schumacher web site, I think the Ready to run sets are around £240 retail and you can get them for les at certain outklets. The pro version without radio etc is less.

  • a 1/3 scale petrol rc moto x would really nice

  • that's called mini moto! We have very few places a 1/5th bike can really streth it's legs, so a 1/3 would be too big.

  • These look awesome. I can imagine some sweat RC motard racing with one of these to.

  • Cheers, yeah, we included them in the 1/5the bike BRCA Nationals this year, so we are up for lots of fun this season!

  • dont blame u mate,

its only a ezrun system so isnt too expensive if it goes bang! its been fine so far tho and ive used it quite alot on snow and ice.. had great fun :-)

ive put pics up on rc groups of the mods ive done

  • I don't like blowing anything up, regardles what it costs, because I always want to finish the race. Hence I always prefer waterproof ESC's in my cars and bikes.

  • ive got my anderson sorted dez, got a 5000mah 2s lipo and 3900kv brushless motor, goes brilliant on ice/snow!! drifting everywhere! lol

  • Cool! I refused to blow my up in thye wet, gotta get a proper system in there so I can use it in all weathers!

  • does the standard esc handle lipo power an the 4000kv motor ?

  • The standard ESC is a brushed ESC, and is a reasonable speed, but I've heard it can handle 3S LiPo which gives it a good kick in the pants!

  • Comment removed

  • Yes it was just nuts, the gyro sounded like a helicopter trying to take off! A 4000kV motor is plenty fast enough, and gives longer run times.

  • is there much speed difference between the 5900kv motor & the 4000 then ?do you need a lipo battery or will a 5000mah nimh 7.2 do? thanks for the advice by the way

  • The standard motor in the kit is about as fast as a 2900kv brushless, so a 4000kV is a big improvement.

You can fit a 5000mAh LiPo brick with a few battery tray modifications. Designed for a stcik pack LiPo or NiMh you see.

  • Is there a dealer in the U.S. for these anybody know of ?? I've been thinking of getting the Duratrax DX450 but Duratrax is not known for good quality and am hesitant but this bike looks like high quality ? Thanks for the great video...

  • The Duratrax is the Anderson Bike, so don't worry about it, just a lebbelling and marketing job to get it into the USA.

  • What battery in is been run in video, and are the giro weights still in? Cheers

  • That was 2S LiPo, a Core 3250mAh stick pack, with all gyro weights out of rear wheel.

  • Just got a RTR M5. Whats the best set up, motors, gears and batts. Please help cheers

  • The standard set up is fine for starters, just use it and enjoy it, slot in a 2S LiPo and have lots of fun. Top Tip - Clean out the gyro and rear tyre once all the grease has flung off the wheel internals..

  • You clearly see the bar touching when you drifted it.

    Hehe, FAIL.

    But nice bike man :D

  • LOL busted, yeah so it touches here and there, but it's not leaning on it all the way round, and it looks great hey!

  • Just had to say it :-P

Really sweet driftaction you got there! :D

How much did you pay for it btw?

  • The RTR M5 version like that is £250 ish, or less in some model shops like Formby models, the new ARR M5 with no electrics is less, but you need all the gear to put in it.

  • okay :)

  • Something about these little motorcycles makes me laugh. I think its how they bounce all around and are always in the same place lol

  • bought one for $850 AU with charger and battery, got it home, used it for 10 mins and the main gear drive split in half. Rang shop for replacement gear drive, one week for delivery. Disappointed to say the least. Rear shock blew the seals as well in that 10 mins.

Lucky real motorcycles are not made this way.

    2 THUMBS DOWN FROM ME!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Sorry to hear that, in my original review I did have the spur gear split so I suggested everyone getst he optionals steel spur gear straight away, no prblems there after. The shock rebuilds easy enough, just don't over fill it.

  • hahah, it's so goofy it's cool

  • thanks for the reply.

I've ordered the steel spur gear, just have to wait a week to see how it goes.

About the rear shock, whats the best oil to use, there is no mention of it in the book.

  • The rear shock has a high ratio so needs very thick oil, around 500 weight.

Like lard it is. Get the option Hard Green Spring too, far better.

  • It's massive!

  • thats a mad track

  • Cheers, we tackled the grass track, Astro track and dirt track at Coventry, Baginton, facility, all good

  • np i like the jumps where he lands on the down ramp looks sweet

  • Nuova Faor rulez supersport is best

  • Do NF make an off road bike, not that I know of, or are you trying to tell us something ;-)

  • where can i buy one of these!??!

  • From most good model shops like formby models, see the schumacher racing web site for more details

  • LOL! i intend to dez :-)

    hopefully have it tomorrow!

rc moto x is the most fun form of RC imo,

    awesome fun :-)

  • ive just bought one dez! cant wait to get it! :-)

  • Well don't polish it, punish it! This is the one bike you can use Mark, so use it!

  • awesome!! 5/5

    top speed?? plzz answer :-)

  • From my initial review I remember the stock bike with kit RTR brushed motor makes 25 mph (40kph) or there abouts, a little faster with a 2S LiPo installed, plenty quick enough for most people. You can get more speed by changing the motor pinion gear for a bigger one, but lose acceleration and run time.

  • Another great video Dez.

You make it look so easy.

    Just bought one...

    Drew

  • Thanks Drew, actually it is the easiest bike to drive I have ever come across, as standard even a complete novice/car driver could get it round!

  • this Thing completely looks like a Toy, on the Track it acts like a Toy and the "Rider"Puppet looks very cheap. Better buy an ARX540 Cross

  • For less than £250 Ready to Run you get what you see, but it's proving more robust and usable than any of us expected for that price! The ARX is a bigger solid piece of machinery but the price is double, you pays your money and takes your choice.

  • Everything has been re-done regarding screws, worn out the bars need some new ones, also the rider is getting torn up. Just priced them up at schumacher UK, £32 for prepainted and £25 for a clear one, my jaw dropped, the arx one is cheaper.

  • Yeah that does seem odd when all the other parts and options are reasonably priced!

  • Yeah well overpriced. Even the body sets are £30 unbelievable. Bike is better with the lipo, didn't know the speed controller hasn't any voltage cut off. I have an external one but cant see how it would fit as the balance connector has no length on the wires.

  • Already got the bike stripped down, noticed a screw was half out of the frame directly behind the main gear. Dont think it was touching though, cant see no marks on the gear. Adjusted the motor and pinion to the main gear, seemed like to much slack and adjusted the chain tension. Will see how it goes with the lipo and new connections(deans).

  • Yeah all the frame screws need threadlock to keep them in place, a few of mine backed ou ttoo and one was rubbing on the spur gear. Threadlock your chain sprocket grub screw too, but don't over tighten it!!

  • No joy with these NiMh, getting 17mins easy now with them but still no instant power to pull any wheelies, getting a lipoy to test if it's the same problem i really need to look at the bike. got some vid soon of the bike.

Excellent fun though given my problems.

  • Well LiPo weigh less so will improve performance and help pull wheelies, so long as you have enough grip and your tyre isn't slipping on the rim. Check it's clean and dry.

  • Already looked at the wheel, having said that its took some abuse as you can see from the vid in my channel.

i have a tamiya style plug on the bike, i take it i'll have to put a deans on it to use a lipo?

  • I always cut Tamiya plugs off everyting and fit Corrally plugs or deans, anything with better power transfer properties, always make a car/bike faster by cutting losses.

  • New batteries from modelsport. maybe i should take some weight out of the flywheel in the gyro.

  • taking weight out of the gyro doesn't make it faster, just better turning at speed.

Even new batteries are not guarenteed perfect, have you done a cycle test charge/discharge measurement?

  • According to the manual less weight gives more response and more power.

batterie been charged once, charged it again last night at 3amps for an hour got pretty hot using a bantam bc6 that i use for my helis. might do the discharge/charge cycle.

  • Yeah from low speeds or a dead stop a lighter gyro wil llet the bike accelerate faster, but once it's spinning it's more about stability.

Give your battery a cycle, 3 Amp chargem 10 amp discharge and see the difference between the in and out, and what voltage it holds under load. Should stay over 7V for at least 2 AH

  • Did a d/c cycle last night ran it on its stand for over 15mins (couldnt get out to test it under load) and the voltage is still 7.5v after metering it on a volt meter.

Noticed the motor stutters some times or bogs down.

  • Spinning it on the bench won't load it properly, You need a headlamp bulb or something that will pull a continuos 10Amps to see whether your battery holds a good voltage under load or not.

  • Just had it out for the 1st time in rough conditions also wet and damp (eek) real easy to control, the gyro works a treat. My only problem was it lacked power wouldn't wheelie at all.

I was using a 3000mA NiMh battery which only lasted about 6mins which sucks big time.

I'll upload some video tonight or tomorrow.

  • If yo uare only getting 6 minutes you either have something dragging badly or your batteries are way past their best, my 3250 LiPo does wheelies and 20 minutes of fun time in standard set up!

  • OMG.This is soo cool!

  • id have thought it would only add a few grams to the weight and would be negligible. Transmitter looks basic, might add a dx3 or put a fail safe inside.

  • Ok recieved mine this morning, spent ages trying to get the srcews and nuts in place for the rider that comes in two halfs.

i think i will fill the rider with expanding foam which should help take some heavy abuse.

Will definitly get some upgrades for this when i find out who stocks some.

Not tried it out yet, but will post some stuff when i get a chance.

  • No, don't foam fill him with foam, he'll be too heavy, just use the screws and apply threadlock, better still shoo goo or CML 'tuff stuff' to the join and smear it on the nuts and bolts to stop them coming undone, sorted.

  • hello, cool vid....

what motor it is in video, with lipo or nimh

    Thank You

  • Standard 15T motor fitted and ESC as per the RTR kit, with a CORE 2S 3250mAh LiPo fitted, pretty cool huh!

  • How long does 3000mah NiMh last? i take this is 7.2v. I was hoping you can get about 8mins run time.

What do you think of the transmitter and reciever.

  • We were getting 20 minutes from a 3250mAh LiPo 2S 7.4V Battery, no problem, plenty of fun time!

  • These look fun what lipos do they use and how long can they run for? Wouldnt mind a nitro one.

How do they compare with the ARX 540 Cant seem to find any of those about.

  • So long as it's shaped like a stick pack NiMh you can run it, I havet he CORE 3250mAh LiPo in mine, superb.

Compared to the ARX it's very light about half the weight, and a little smaller but not much.

  • is that at cmcc on the dirt track?

  • Yeah, that's on the Baginton grass and dirt track at Coventry, cool huh!

  • yeah there cool i think there a bit expensive thoe as for the same price u could get a good 4 wheeler

  • You won't have this much fun with four wheels, and £250 is amazing value for an RTR bike of any sort, let alone this rugged!

  • i saw this on modelsport a few weeks ago i saw anderson and fewt who r they so i clicked on it looks quite different

  • Awesome! Was worried that the 1/5 scale platform might not be able to handle the dirt as well as the larger 1/4 bikes. Looks like that's not the case at all! Can't wait to get my hands on one!

  • Yeah looks pretty sweet in RTR format straight out of the box!
