  • That's very interesting. I just bought a few African violets in memory of my mum who always kept them around the house. I'll look to see if they should be divided. A couple of questions--you mentioned that was a "single-crown" AV--how do you know if one is single crown or not. Also, is your salad container closed at the bottom, so retains humidity? Many salad containers have open slots on the bottom. Do you poke holes in the top for air?

    Good vid, thanks.

  • Thanks so much for the video. You're a great "surgeon" :)

  • @MichaelYaremchuk You're welcome, and thank YOU!

  • thanks for the tips! after deviding and planting the babies, how long should i keep them in a "green house" ? I hope ours can grows like yours

  • @ItsThatPhotoGuy --Leave them covered until they develop good roots. The first little roots will usually appear in the first coupla weeks, then maybe go a coupla weeks after that.

  • Thanks, I loved your video. Much easier to figure out AV care by video rather than reading about it. Hopefully I can salvage mine :)

  • @Mickele73 --Thanks!!

  • Nice video. How are the plants doing now?

  • @Almax881 They all did well except one that I watered a bit too heavily. But the remaining 5 will make great presents for people :-)
