  • really lovely peace of work, certainly alot of engines putting their pistons into it, good to see some of GWR's finest, and the occasional midlander

  • Yep was a great gala, thanks for the comment!

  • this video is great :)

  • Thank you very much

  • no problem mate

  • did anyone else notice that most of these engines are the same models as the thomas characters were based off of?

i saw duck, oliver, percy, james, and henry's models in this

  • I didn't but I saw these -

    813, 3440 'City of Truro', 4566, 5164, 5542, 5526, 5764, 7802 'Bradley Manor', 7812 'Erlestoke Manor', 9017 'Earl of Berekley', 42968, 45110 and 46443 as 46446.

You didn't see Oliver as she is a 14xx and 1420, 1442, 1450 or 4866 are featured. Percy is based on a very small 0-4-0ST, 1340 'Trojan' again this wasn't in the video.

As much as I like Thomas the tank and how it gets kids into trains (like myself), this is real life and they are real locomotives!

  • Great Video, 5 Stars!

  • Thanks you

  • I haven't heard much about SVR's 2009 gala, any idea whats running?

  • 4936 'Kinlet Hall', 1744 (N2) and 41241 (KWVR's Mickey Tank) + the Flying Pig 43106 will be back and a few more guest locos mate.

  • Well JBT your cinematography belies your years. The Charlford titch was a daily train that ran between Gloucester and Charlford. It comprised a GWR tank engine and one carriage.I'm an old guy in California but I used to ride that train as a boy.

  • Woah living in California! Thank you for your comments.

  • Excellent footage. Thank you very much. What was the little tank engine that pulled the Charlford titch for so amy years ?

  • Thank you. Sorry I am only 13 so I am unsure of what the Charlford titch is
