Those poll numbers are on the rise after Nov5th and there is little doubt at the moment that he will be well above 5% and on the debate stage in Iowa. Keep in mind those polls are based on voters from last primary where registered Republican turnout was 6.6%(a record low) Once Ron Paul hits 10% and candidates start dropping out I think alot of people will reevaluate their vote. He IS the true conservative candidate

Because Ron Paul's stance on each of the issues you listed is more impressive than Thompson's and he has a 10-term voting record to prove he won't have a change of heart. Also when Ron Paul talks about these issues he spits out facts to support his stance which hasn't been the strategy of Thompson as far as I've seen yet, and I'm paying close attention this time around.
