I recall reading of speculation that Shostakovich's orchestration teacher helped with the orchestration. Any truth to that?

The oboe melody which opens the third movement is one of the most soulful and moving solos I have ever heard. That it was penned by a youth of a mere 19 years speaks to a talent which was evidenced by this symphony and the 14 that came after it!
