  • Nice haul

  • Do u have batman #1

  • @yodawithsunglasses Not yet.

  • You gotta go back to talking in your videos. I liked it much better

  • @Con2288 I'm actually considering it for the next one, which should be done next week.

  • 3:07 What is that?

  • @ListWritingMachine Some of the HUGE Treasury Editions Marvel released in the 70's.

  • btw chromium how much are those comics like strange tales tales to astonish the old ones from the 60s

  • Ok man I really hate graded comics but to each there own. But plz man for gods sake take that Avengers #1 3.5 out of that slab. Whoever sent that in to get graded was a moron. I love your comics though man great collection you have.

  • @Nosfeast Well would you buy a $700 book unslabbed ? I wouldn't... not when I can't be sure if it's restored or not, making worth about 20 - 25% of the unrestored value. But I do agree, that once it's in the collection, there is nothing holding you back cracking it out of the slab, unless you plan on selling it in the near future and want to get top dollar out of it.

  • @chromiumcomics Yea I understand doing it for value and investment but come on them Avengers #1's slabbed in that condition is just dumb. That was someone being greedy and wanting to make a comic in bad condition worth more. And that makes things harder for true readers and collectors like me. I would not even buy a slabbed comic for any price unless I was getting that comic to take out and read for myself.

  • @Nosfeast I wouldn't call an Avengers #1 in 3.5 "bad condition" it's low grade yes, and it's not for investment or value at all...it's for security. And an Avengers #1 in VG- IS worth more graded than it is raw, because you pay for the luxury of knowing the comic you bought is in the advertised grade and isn't restored.

So do you buy all you $500+ comic books raw ? If you do then you are a braver man than me, especially as a lot of the key books sold raw are restored or have a hidden flaw.

  • make a video of your wolverine comic book collection

  • @themaxiboy29 Alas the Wolverine series is from post-1985 so I sold those s few years ago

  • Somebody went on a shopping spree =P.

  • wen you riget "some sa & ga batman books" you min to silver age and golden age ?

becous you sed you dont collect golden age.

  • @chenbur Batman is the only title that I collect all the ages, GA, SA and BA. Now that I nearly have every single Marvel SA comic and I have most of the Batman SA books, the logical step is to complete Batman all the way up to Batman #1

  • @chromiumcomics good luck getting batman 1

  • @chromiumcomics do you collect modern age?

  • @4yushftw No I don't, I collect from 1961 to 1985 (Fantastic Four #1 to Secret Wars #1)

  • @chromiumcomics same here i think the old comics are better cause of storyline and plus its classic but me i buy my comics with my own money n im 12 so i dont have that rare comics and mines are from 70's to 90's still im sad :(

  • how much did all those comics cost?

  • @Cjflores99 I have no idea, they were bought over a longer period and then stored.

  • how much batman you have in your collection??

  • @chenbur Batman #150 to #400 complete and about 50 issues between #1 and #149

  • Those Avengers Look like a much higher grade then 3/5 or 4/0. Do you think that cgc is a good thing?

  • @Garyindiana11 I use CGC mainly as a resto-detection service, sometimes I agree with them on grades, sometimes I don't. The 3.5 has a small piece missing from the back, so that one is probably on the money. I thought the 4.0 would have gotten a 5.0

  • Really Nice bunch of books! What is it about Mylar that makes a book look like a million bucks! It's what I use.

  • @Garyindiana11 I'm going back to the States in about 2 weeks time, so I should bring back a whole stack of comics again.

  • do you have batman #1 ?

  • @chenbur Again Golden Age...and DC.

  • Yeah, those treasury editions are great. I got about 30 of them last year, mostly F+ to VF. Hard to get in NM!

  • i have some pretty old detective comics but not as rare as you have.

  • I did, twice. Did you receive anything now?

  • Hey man, I've send you a couple of mails, but I don't know if you have received them. Could you please let me know if you have?

  • No, didn't receive anything...use the mail address that's in my intro

  • what do u do 4 a living?

  • No I bought them from a dealer in Boston when I was in the USA last week. Details are in my blog.

I'm pretty sure 90% of all comics can be found on eBay in a variety of grades.

  • o i must have looked at the wrong 1 i have 1 more question is a back issue the same as a re print?

  • No, the comic isn't slabbed it's a VG- for $400

  • o wow thats expenisve i looked at that batman 23 and it was 2,000 and cgc at 7.0 is that the right one?

  • o ok thanks i hear urr looking 4 batman 1 ? any luck?

  • I don't need luck I need $10.000 - $12.000

  • No I decided not to in the end, there were a few flaws which I didn't like. Seller has now put it up on eBay. Under the title "BATMAN #23 Classic Joker Cover" seller's name is "vinylrejected" Easy to find on Ebay. Nice guy as well

  • did u get batman #23?

  • kool those big comics u showed at the end r nice

  • hey very nice book and nice star wars issue what issue # is that?

  • Marvel Special Edition #2 - Star Wars 2 - 1977

  • Some awesome books man....the golden age Joker cover is beautiful!

  • Thanks :)

  • nice lucky u i wish i had those comics

  • what issue number is that first batman u showed?

  • The first Batman book I'm showing is #172 ... the oldest one in the video (Joker cover) is #73 from 1952.

I'm working on a deal as we speak for Batman #23 from June 1944

  • I'm going to need you to send to to my house:D For Inspection

  • cause i saw avengers 1 complete in the bag with the stamp 4 $800 and i saw tales to anstonish with the stamp 4 $500

  • how much did u spend on that golden age joker cover? ff#5? and avengers#1?

  • I never divulge how much I spend, but market value for both the 1 Avengers #1s is around $2000, the GA Batman about $200 and the FF #5 is about $850

  • nice too see ... I love the covers to those Strange Tales , I have some but traded many off ... I really like the cover to 102 with the split panels.

  • Yeah, I like them too...you can still see the GA and "monster period" influence in them.

  • Finally, some DC comics. ;)

  • I'm slowly caving in ;)

  • nice comics, did you read any of them?

  • Not yet, but I plan to...only problem is that I'm a few thousand comics behind.

  • hahaha nice
