  • I love this. Thanks so much for sharing.

  • Fooled my cats.

  • Fascinating stuff. Just goes to show that in nature, speech is all relative.

  • I love the old pheasant guy at the end!

  • wow that's awesome!

  • Just saw some of this on a great program about birdsong (and why they sing) on BBC4. It may be possible that some birds, zebra finches for example, actually sing for pleasure (as well as the more obvious reasons such as mating and fending off rivals).

  • I saw at Espai 13 - the Foundation Miro in Barcelona. I loved it! But could not explain what I saw - glad i found this. :-)

  • Aaa haaaa haa! I saw the Guardian Article showing how this was done, so glad to find this video of different examples! Laughing so hard! It's also funny to hear them sing at normal speed... they just sound like silly humans!

  • Hey there,

I was wondering if you could help, someone did an experiment a few years ago where they did the same as you have done but they played in back to birds and it really freaked them..

It's been bugging me for months as I can't seem to find the article on it again!

Have you heard of anyone else doing this?

    Thanks

  • not really funny, because much too obvious...

  • wonderful!

  • heard about this on Jarvis Cocker's sunday service

  • Fantastic :)
