ok first of all mclaren didnt give equal status to kovalainen from the first moment that he signed that mclaren contract. in 2008 he was clearly number 2 in the team especially in qualifying. and in 2009 hamilton used to get the new parts first so mclaren were only focusing on hamilton, they didnt care about heikki because they werent fighting for the championship and when i say they i mean hamilton wasnt fighting for the championship to help him
Utter crap, Heikki had ample opportunities to prove himself in 08 but didn't, and as for 2009, Heikki had every opportunity to prove himself, but again he didn't.
Teams don't run upgrades on both cars at the same time, as with the testing ban there simply wasn't a place for them to test and compare the mods.
Hamilton had mods in China (Heikki didn't) that turned his car into a wheelbarrow, and at Spain both drivers ditched the upgrades coz they didn't work.
ok talking about kovalainen this time. first of all in 2008 mclaren had a couple of drivers on their list to replace alonso and one of them was rosberg who had a contract with williams at that time and they didnt want to give him up and they had other drivers like sutil,di resta, and even de la rosa but they just took heikki because he had a couple of good results with renault (fuji 2007 2nd, cananda starting 22 on the grid and finishing 4th) lets face it for mclaren it was the safest decision
u can go to the f1 site and see kovalainen's result's at the begininng of the season iam not saying their great but they are very fair to the team. in qualifying they used to put more fuel in his car just to start 6th,7th,8th and thats what they wanted they wanted hamilton as the driver who gets all the results and kovalainen just to be a the helping driver and we saw that in more than 1 race when hamilton would get behind heikki and he just gets an order just let him by.
When Hamilton was a rookie in 2007, he was always fueled heavier than Alonso until towards the end of the season, and if you actually look at the fuel weights from every race last year (except for 1 when they were on opposite strategies), the difference between both Mclarens was only a lap or 2. As for team orders, perhaps you missed the fact that they are banned in F1. Silverstone 08, as soon as Hamilton passed Heikki (same car/upgrades/tyres) he drove away from him.
in 2009 pls dont talk about fairness! mclaren gave hamilton all the parts first just like in nurburgring when we saw that the mclaren just performed wonderfully, and also valencia, hungary, monza i can go forever. so pls dont convince me or convince urself that heikki got his full chance at mclaren and everyone knows this. iam not saying that if mclaren gave him the chance he would be better than hamilton but at least he would be much closer in terms of pace in qualifying and races!

ok talking about kovalainen this time. first of all in 2008 mclaren had a couple of drivers on their list to replace alonso and one of them was rosberg who had a contract with williams at that time and they didnt want to give him up and they had other drivers like sutil,di resta, and even de la rosa but they just took heikki because he had a couple of good results with renault (fuji 2007 2nd, cananda starting 22 on the grid and finishing 4th) lets face it for mclaren it was the safest decision

u can go to the f1 site and see kovalainen's result's at the begininng of the season iam not saying their great but they are very fair to the team. in qualifying they used to put more fuel in his car just to start 6th,7th,8th and thats what they wanted they wanted hamilton as the driver who gets all the results and kovalainen just to be a the helping driver and we saw that in more than 1 race when hamilton would get behind heikki and he just gets an order just let him by.

When Hamilton was a rookie in 2007, he was always fueled heavier than Alonso until towards the end of the season, and if you actually look at the fuel weights from every race last year (except for 1 when they were on opposite strategies), the difference between both Mclarens was only a lap or 2. As for team orders, perhaps you missed the fact that they are banned in F1. Silverstone 08, as soon as Hamilton passed Heikki (same car/upgrades/tyres) he drove away from him.

in 2009 pls dont talk about fairness! mclaren gave hamilton all the parts first just like in nurburgring when we saw that the mclaren just performed wonderfully, and also valencia, hungary, monza i can go forever. so pls dont convince me or convince urself that heikki got his full chance at mclaren and everyone knows this. iam not saying that if mclaren gave him the chance he would be better than hamilton but at least he would be much closer in terms of pace in qualifying and races!

LOL. Of course they are going to give Hamilton all the parts 1st, set up wise he had proved himself at Mclaren when he went his own way on set up towards the end of 2007, it took him 3 races to get to grips with things. Also development wise, Hamilton had already proved himself in F3 euroseries. He & Nico Rosberg were in MBM, starting in a brand new series with a dog of a car. Yet they developed it, and the following year Lewis utterly dominated with 15 wins, 14 poles and 11 fastest laps.

brilliant speach Escosia08 tht is exactly what will happen nxt year and plus since there is the rule of the full tank thats even better for mclaren and ferrari as they have already been carrying the extra weight this year by the kers. Raikkonen and Hamilton what a good job they did this year both with the worst cars their teams had made.

Jenson button only won because of his car and brawn car had been designed b4 any of the other cars were so obviously they had an advantage there and it showed but the other teams did well especially Red Bull.Ferrari did gud especially when they only had 1 main driver for half of the season.(i have to say sumut about ferrari as im a ferrari fan lol )
