Obviously the school didn't teach you to use your brain. The reserve is on the back and the turtle is sliding on the belly. These guys are really cool and have fun. This is what paragliding is for! Of course there are dangerous limits and every pilot has to find his own limits autonomous from any school and club pretends to give you savety. When you are out there you have to take your own decision to save your life.

While your right about the reserve on the back on this guy, I have seen front mount reserves, and my handle is close to the front. I agree that the guys are having a blast and theres nothing wrong with that, its just not too good for your gear, to drag it on the ground like that. But hey to each his own. I paid too much to drag my harness through the dirt. cheers and fly safely

I paid also too much for my equipment. I did a lot of groundhandling and was often in the air. After two years my new paraglider was a frazzle with air permiability of 20 seconds. One more seasen and this plastic bag is finished. Now I bought a faster one. Let's see how long it will survive in my hands. I want to have fun!

They should develop more robust stuff. But then you don't need a new equipment so frequently. Bad for busines...

you need to protect your equipment. your life depends on it. your reserve handle may get snagged and open unintentionally while being dragged like this. i am a beginner pilot. thats what they teach us at the school.
