@Appleshaz For cross the pond (and real life flights across the atlantic) Airlines are required to meet a slot time (so that all the planes don't arrive at the same place at the same time). For CTP you book your slots on the cross the pond website and you get a time for your departure. If you miss that time by more than 5 minutes you have "Lost your slot" and need to get another one. This can mean a ground hold, an airborne hold, or a change to a different parallel route.
gaspeli and musicalaviator the arguments u two had awhile back are so childish and perfectic whats the point gaspeli only gave hes opion which every1 is enitled to ! you 2 should learn to grow up ! and dont take things to heart and so serious !
Gaspeli unfortunatley did not give his opinion in very good grammar, and was a confrontational opinion. It's sometimes fun to prod to see what reaction you get.
hmm true i see both of your points but he was just giving hes opion with hes problem on vatsim and ivao which hes entiled to hes opion ,but nevermind you both need to relax its just a flightsim not real world lol ! nice video anyways
Yes. You get airways clearance as usual on the ground, but the NAT track system requires another clearance (which is usually time-specific for about a 5 minute window on crossing the entry point). This is the slot system and during that clearance you can get new requirements such as 1: Different speed (they slowed me down 0.03 of a mach this time) 2: A midair track change (up to 80nm left or right to an adjacent track, usually Direct to thence track X) 3: New Flight Level. All done over Ireland
if your pause at 4:20 it shows the paper with the vatsim logo. were do you go to get that were you can fill out your flight plan and print it like that?
Great video. Well edited and beautifully put together with well suited music. It makes me feel the same if I was flying on VATSIM! I might just have to join now! :0 pd95:)
FS9 because the NL2000 v3 Scenery is for FS9, and with PMDG MD11 my FSX comes to a screaming pile of yelp.
Dualcore 3.36mhz Processor, 4G ram, 512mb on the Vid card, but only a 32bit OS still. 3G switch active.
FS9 runs like a dream. FSX works if you don't make it work too hard (ie PMDG MD11 at Orbx YMML on vatsim with ActiveskyX weather and SB4 with firefox open and looking at charts in PDF format all at the same time - like normal :P )
Further developments. With exactly the same system running windows 7 64 bit, FSX runs perfectly. With Orbx, FTX, ActiveSky, FSinn, GEX, PMDG MD11/747/JS41 and with firefox with 10 tabs open, half of them PDF files running off foxit reader all running. No Out of Memory issues, no textures not loading for 10 minutes so your airport looks like a runway in a sea of yellow when you come into land...
AI traffic was entirely from NL2000's Netherlands Scenery (latest version/last version for FS9) Installed the NL2000 package (freeware) and didn't edit a thing. AI comes with it as does all the airports that start with EH and all the countryside between.
There were open slots all over the place. Because of the DDOS thing, quite a lot of people were taking longer than usual to get connected (I took about 5 or 6 tries) and spots were opening left right and centre. Probably woulda gotten a slot within an hour of logging on even without a booked one.
Yeah i should have tried to get in and see what happens. The ddos was terrible, i was controlling ground at LAX and had planes just disappearing and reappearing all over my radar!
Graeme Koehne's "Powerhouse - Rhumba for Orchestra" mixed with bits from "Unchained Melody" from the same composer (not to be confused with the pop piece) I actually mixed bits and pieces from each piece to fit my video at random.
Are the other aircraft in it the actual aircraft on VATsim? what models were you using for them? They look better than the standard model sets for squawkbox.
I was running FSinn as I was unable to connect with SB3 during the server outage. (it would hang at the "Uploading Vatsim Server Info" stage) and so It's using all my AI models at random. However the stuff on the ground at AMS was actually AI, not vatsim traffic since I was too busy (installing FSinn, missing my slot, changing my FMC and rushing to make the next slot etc) to video my departure online, so I had to just re-shoot it. first true Vatsim traffic is what's following me at KEWR.
Nice. For full realism select the tape gauges when flying KLM MD-11.

@BernhardRottweiler See my Cross the Pond 2011 video where I fly PMDG MD11 (KLM) ex EHAM in FSX/NL2000v4/AerosoftEHAM with the tape gauges too ;)

why did you got clearance from delivery while you were already flying?
ThunderDonkey 1 year ago
@ThunderDonkey That wasn't normal Clearance, That was Oceanic Crossing Clearance. You will notice it contained a crossing time and a SELCAL check.

Ahhhhhh. There's nothing better than flying the MD-11.

I was relaxing. Mostly via the "Airbus" in-joke. I was also testing how much of a troll he was.

im not retarded and i tune the right frequency,go to the idiots event
gaspeli 1 year ago
Right. We all must be superhuman because 'when anybody is speaking (we) do hear (them) and then we gonna not kicked....
actually your grammar might suggest otherwise. You might call it "20 feet" but airbus is right. "Retard, Retard, Retard"
musicalaviator 1 year ago
do you know what fuck you!
gaspeli 1 year ago
Reduce your throttle to idle in the flare like a good little A320.
musicalaviator 1 year ago
how wan you say me "idiot your retarded"
gaspeli 1 year ago
perhaps your deaf and not passing 20 feet. But your spelling and grammar requires some work too.
besides you said "Go to the idiots event"
I assume you meant that as an insult, I was merely returning the favour.
Perhaps you should trade your Airbus in for a boeing so it doesn't call you names passing 20 feet.

1:27, that plane needs some repairs on them landing gears and those passengers need medical assistance...
how comes you get the clearence on mid air?, you're suposed to get it from Delivery in the ground...
5:40, that looks like a Russian invation...I know its servinfo..
10:06, be careful,,you're gonna break your video camera...
great video..loved the music and editing...must have been a fun flight...

@wilfredotour2 About the mid-air clearence, I guess he gets a clearence to fly NAT C to Newark, not sure since I only fly in Europe

Dear All,
I have some questions about psychology and sociology:
(1) Why do we relate aeroplanes and aerospace technology with charity and humanity?
(2) How can aeroplanes and aerospace techonolgy promote charitry and humanity? (eg. VATSIM deploy WorldFlight program help to rasie fund for charity)
(3) What are the other possible activity(s) that aeroplanes can be deploy to promote charity and humanity?
THANK YOU IN ADVANCE for your creative ideas and brainstorm!!! :)
