I like the entire lineup of Bristol, but in keeping with their exclusivity, I think all the cars should be powered by either the new 6.4 liter Hemi (475 BHP) or the V-10, with the Fighter only available with the twin-turbo V-10. Perhaps Bristol can take over and properly revive the Jensen Interceptor, too, and throw in the V-10 with all-wheel drive?!
Oh- the Blenheim Speedster just stole my heart. What an absolutely gorgeous car. The dash alone is enough to make my jaw drop- then there are those perfect lines of the body; it's moved into the number-one spot on my 'dream car' list.
@v1d4r1 I think you'll find it is for posting what people wish to be seen and on the whole they do it in a far more pleasant and gentlemanly fashion than you do when framing your comments.
@v1d4r1 I think you'll find it is for posting what people wish to be seen and on the whole they do it in a far more pleasant and gentlemanly fashion than you do when framing your comments.
@v1d4r1 I think the idea was to allow people to post whatever they wanted, within the bounds of normal decency and I have to say, most folk seem to do it with better language and manners than you do.
Sorry Blindboyblue but you must be blind (sorry for the pun) seriously none of these cars look anything like a 80's cortina (a squared of 4 door salon) so stop being a numpty and appreciate great individual looking cars and get a life while your at it. Prat
Sorry dude but you need glasses, how could you call a Coupe or a classic round roadster or the fighter a worked over cortina???????????, You numpty stop using youtube and get back to to your homework for School tomorrow. Call it how you see it, you don't see Sh*t. Muppet idiots like you are the reason we have the Mini from BMW
The Blenheim S does 0-60 in 5.5 seconds according to the company's website. Bristol do seem to understate everything wherever possible however.
The joy of Bristol is that they coach-build bodies onto a proper chassis, even the Fighter. Unlike Irn-Bru, they are quite literally 'made from girders'
Rare cars are the Bristols (for most Bristols, a key identifying factor is the unusually long bonnets due to the spare wheel being just behind the front wheels!) - Although when in London recently, while I did not see any mainstream cars that were pre-1990, I did encounter a 1980-81 'W' registered Bristol.
I see what u mean, but i think in the blenhiems case its sheer pompusness(i dont even know if thats a real word) is something to be proud of, i think its an old reminder of the posh and snoby british attitude that many Americans think britian still is(but it has got a V8 with adjustibal dampers and a limted slip dif)
ahem, cough splutter (quote from bristol website)"We are the only luxury car manufacturer that remains in private British hands. This ensures us the absolute independence of thought and action that is essential to our purpose."
How cool are these cars! And all built in Britain!
Who needs those common run of the mill "luxury" chav cars with fluffy nylon carpets, spangly chrome controls and spoilers everywhere to try to keep them on the road? Have you ever seen one try to negotiate a speed hump!!
Give me a driver's car any day!
And if you try to run them down, it's only because you don't "get" it - you're becoming too dull to understand them. In fact you probably drive a Ford and watch Jeremy Clarkson!
Never a truer word spoken. I love the fact that the owner has to like you before you can buy one. To be completely honest though the only Bristol i have ever see in the flesh was one of the really old dated looking ones! It was no Fighter s! lol
Clarkson and Top Gear love Bristol. May is banned from the (gloriously dated and well-worn) showroom in Kensington because he knows Clarkson! Anyway shurrup about Clarkson cos he does love Bristol - just the previous owner didnt like him! Lucky he calls less of the shots these days.
Alright, mate, calm down! Clarkson does love them as evinced by his interview with Jennifer Saunders where they discuss it. Also: when i said 'previous owner' that does accomodate the pre/assumption that he left some while ago; and as i said 'less of the shots' does also include not calling any shots at all. I know how it feels to imagine that one is providing a service to people when one believes one is 100% correct, just lettin you know that you have to do it in the right way or not at all! :)
Oh - sorry - didn't realise you are autistic. He doesn't literally say the word 'love' but it is easily inferred given he speaks ruefully about not being able to drive them, and doesnt say anything negative about the brand. The second bit of my post actually makes sense first time round (it suprised me too), just get a longer attention span, yeah? And lay off the multiple question-marks, looks a bit 13-years-old.
Ah, if in doubt slide into personal abuse - a great argument!!!
Forgive me if my view of Mr Clarkson's "love" of Bristol was guided by his comment about the Bristol Blenheim 3G "If I'd built this car myself, it wouldn't have been much worse". You may need to do your homework more thoroughly next time...
blenheim speedster looks like someones cut the roof off a fucking london taxi
