LOL I love your videos man, your as real as it gets keep them coming. Quick question how are things turning up in Japan? how are you guys making it through?
Ok, clarification porfavor.. Nanda... Can that be used like saying "What"!!!! As if a viewer keeps saying, "Excuse me Mr GMABM but what does this mean? And you say in an agitated tone... " nanda nanda NANDA!!!?
Short term brain damage... Thats funny!!! I would fit in just fine... I cant wait!
"Demo sono kanji da yo" is the only thing you didn't translate; I was interested to know what that meant! "But that kanji _____" is what I understand. Not sure what the "da yo" does in this sentence. D:
I was thinking of getting a teaching cert. like CELTA or TESOL because then teaching here in London its a good side earner. If you turn up in Japan with these certificates, is the pay significantly better or the same as say someone without the certificate? Thank you .... and carry on the good work.
I was going to make a video response but my stupid web cam somehow fails to work on youtube ..... I've tried like 8 times now and I've just given up.
Any how the question I have doesn't relate to this video. The question I have is where have the people who have taught english ended up after their contract has finished - I'm talking career wise here.
Great series man ..... I've sporadically watched quiet a few of them. You are really good at making them and well done man for the followers you've created.
I'm so excited that you're doing daily lessons now!!! :D I know that's what you'd meant to do before, but that didn't really work out the way it was supposed to... Anyway, this time you're actually doing them everyday! I'm trying to get my honey to learn some Japanese and your lessons are going to help them a lot. Domo domo domo!
haha, just kidding. These videos are great. I'm actually learning this stuff really fast, and I could understand a bit of a conversation between my dad and the owner of my local sushi bar.
oh my god the short-term memory thing is so true. Really I'd like a scientific explanation for it...

Huh i wonder why they dont seem to remember....maybe a cultural thing or a product of their language and word structure...

As far as the memory thing goes, I will fit in well in Japan. For example, an infamous conversation I had with my little brother once, went like this:
"Hey, Jason."
Pause
"Hey, Rachel."
"What?"
"What? Didn't you call my name?"
"Oh yeah!"
My brother will never let me live it down. lol

dosent TAKAI also mean is tall?
OHmySHIZZnit 2 years ago
Yes.
Gimmeaflakeman 2 years ago
OHmySHIZZnit: Yes. The way I keep it straight is that it always means high, whether in physical height (inches, cm, etc.) or in price.
GameShowGuy 2 years ago
Yup, but usually at height they use "se ga takai" literally, something like, "xy's height is tall" :P sounds silly

It like means, "a feeling" if I remember correctly.

What you said, kanji is the word for feeling, sense or impression.
