  • use hairspray to put the glitter in ornaments it works great..

  • Nice idea! I did the glitter one, but instead of dealing with making a paintbrush and painting the inside, I just watered down my glue a bit and shook it up. It did the trick!

    Thanks!

  • Very pretty! I would never have thought to use a lint roller to pick up the extra glitter. Great tip! TFS

  • Do you know how to glue things on the outside of ornaments so that they lay flat on a colored globe?

  • Sorry didn't do much for me.

  • love the ornaments !!

I did hear from someone that you should always use the extra fine glitter, that may be why the large stars didn't work for you as well.

I am definitely going to try mod podge, I think it would be easier than the elmer's glue, that can be pretty thick.

  • do they have hobby lobby stores where you live? my mom and i go there sometimes. also, if you have hobby lobby coupons or vise versa michaels will use their coupons.

  • @staceyfenster No, there are not Hobby Lobby store around here. I live in central Mass. I have Michael's and AC Moore around me.

  • @staceyfenster Found the best way to glitter the insides!! Use pledge floor wax with future shine, turn upside down & drain for at least 30 secs, then add glitter. SO EASY and quick! we tried the stars and regular sized glitter, they dont work at all. Stick to extra fine glitter and tinsel glitter. Thanks for your video, you got us started on decorating ornaments! Look at ours! It wouldnt let me post the link, so look on Facebook under the name: The Orange Butterfly! Thanks!

  • you seriously need to check out "glitter it!" i can make a dozen glitter ornaments in a few mins flat! its a glue that is the consistency of water that you squirt in the ornament coat the inside, dump out (and reuse! im just shy of half a bottle (even after i spilled a ton of it) and i have done over 4 dozen ornaments) pour in the glitter, shake to coat the sides and BAM your done! you can buy the stuff at michaels!

  • Thanks for the great ideas. I've got glass ornaments just wasnt sure what I wanted to put inside them. Thanks!

  • Is possible the when you are hanging them on the tree that you can install one of the small light bulbs from the strains in side it so that it can light it up from the inside out ...possible clear light...I think that will make them pop and also make the glidder aluminate more...otherwise i like your idea..great job

  • that was pretty awesome, great idea :)

  • What a great idea! I really liked the pink. I am going to micheals this weekend. I hope they still have some left! You could really put anything in those ornaments. Good craft for the kids to do with you. Thanks

  • mabey this is just an idea but if u wanna do stars u can frist put a little bit of stars in bf the real glitter adn shake it then do teh regular glitter?just a idea

  • @xXMariaLovesYouXx Yeah, that would probably work. You'd just have to be careful not to pour all of the stars in the same spot.
