Sharks really aren't as dangerous as many think. There are not many shark attacks per year and only about five of them end with death. There are many more deaths in car accidents per year. Sure, sharks don't really look that friendly, but they are not mean either. Studies have shown that sharks hardly ever attack a human on purpose, they either mistake the human for food or movement in the water make them instinctively go for it. We shouldn't blame them for who they are, they can't help it.
I think it's really sad how we treat sharks. I mean, look at the movie, they pick them up, cut their fins off, and throw them right back again leaving them to die like that! I have never tasted finsoup, but in the movie they say that it doesn't really taste anything, it's just for the status, that's just horrible!

you know what's happening now that we've banned the culling of sharks? we are being over run of the coasts by great whites. we have been getting more and more regular attacks because of it. Bondi Beach, Sydney, Australia is a good example of the case. It's happening coz there's no-one to kill the sharks. they justy keep growing in numbers. @aussiedizaster BS the amount of shark attacks a year is still an average 1 in 8,000,000 and most of these attacks are non-fatal. I know Australia is one of the more common places for great whites to be but the average attack occur with surfers due to these sharks generally being only able to swim up to 15ft of water. There has hardly been any culling of shark slaughter yet and sharks like the great white are now being classified as vulnerable which is just above endangered.

Takeing sharks fins is the same as if taking both a humans arms and one leg. Leaving us with one leg to survive. How difficult would life be if we only had one leg? All because someone wanted to. Sharks really aren't as dangerous as many think. There are not many shark attacks per year and only about five of them end with death. There are many more deaths in car accidents per year. Sure, sharks don't really look that friendly, but they are not mean either. Studies have shown that sharks hardly ever attack a human on purpose, they either mistake the human for food or movement in the water make them instinctively go for it. We shouldn't blame them for who they are, they can't help it.

you know what's happening now that we've banned the culling of sharks? we are being over run of the coasts by great whites. we have been getting more and more regular attacks because of it. Bondi Beach, Sydney, Australia is a good example of the case. It's happening coz there's no-one to kill the sharks. they justy keep growing in numbers. I'm not a hater, i'm against cruelty to animals, but we have to start killing sharks off again before we have a huge situation. So who gets the first bite???

@aussiedizaster BS the amount of shark attacks a year is still an average 1 in 8,000,000 and most of these attacks are non-fatal. I know Australia is one of the more common places for great whites to be but the average attack occur with surfers due to these sharks generally being only able to swim up to 15ft of water. There has hardly been any culling of shark slaughter yet and sharks like the great white are now being classified as vulnerable which is just above endangered.

Takeing sharks fins is the same as if taking both a humans arms and one leg. Leaving us with one leg to survive. How difficult would life be if we only had one leg? All because someone wanted to. Not only do we take them from theyr home and cut off theyr limbs, but then we put them back in the water to slowly die instead of us putting them out of theyr misery and useing the rest of the body so it dosnt go to waste.
