I hate that people have to make comparisons between the band and the musical. The musical is not supposed to be a rock concert, its just another format of telling the story of the album, its like the album came to life, it's really amazing, people need to look past the "well they aren't billie joe" part of it. Anyone who thinks this song shouldn't be sung by a girl needs to go back through the album and read the booklet as they go through so that they realize that IN THE ACTUAL STORY (and yes the ORIGINAL Green Day album had a story! but all you assholes probably downloaded the album illegally and thus never saw the lyrics and thus never noticed) this song is sung from the perspective of WHATSERNAME.

Rebeccasernam is amazing. She's helped me to justify female vocals singing along to Green Day musiq. Same as I've been doing for 17yrs. So, i luv all the girls! For that reason, and many, many more. They are wonderful. They have the same passion for the songs/story. It shows. All of them have really been able to capture the energy and purpose for all of it. It shows.
