Wowwwww what can I say but those very two words thanku as a supporter of freestyle music nd artists this happens to be one of my fav freestyle songs its tooo bad I only can hear it on youtube I cant find this song on cd thanku again..frm veronica
Ok so I saw alot of Freestyle that I used to listen to so I added it to my Fav's but, then I found this song that I haven't heard in forever so I have to subscribe and say Thank you so much!! for postin all these great songs. Brings back memories. Love em!
LOL omg I thought I was the only one that had this record. I wish the acapella didnt have the percussion. I would have made a remix. It has the percapella on side B. I have alot of freestyle singles actually. Prob around 5 or 6 crates.
the main reason the producers did that was exactly for the reason you just said. They didn't want others remix their records ( to make a profit later off their work ) and so forth.
yeah but they did make remixes with percapellas too. I remember coming home from school on fridays and running to put a blank cassette in my deck to catch whatever was left because they started the friday show earlier here in the west coast to keep up with the 2 hour difference in the west coast. However when I stayed home from school on a couple of fridays I remember them starting off with either the acapella of Krystal's passion from a woman or Jellybean with madonna's sidewalk talk.
Don't forget, back then the DJ's made the music. Not like today where it's people looking for $ over quality.
DJ's in the 80's and early 90's were bigger & more respected than alot of the Execs of any label, they were looked upto because any record they played, they made a hit. You don't have that anymore.
So in turn, what I mean by all that is, Dj's got exclusive versions to mix and remix with.
yeah I know there were alot of superstar dj's. If the consumer bought a 12'' single they couldnt understand who David Morales was or steve silk hurley or Junior Vasquez. At least not a typical consumer. However they could recognize the remix if they heard it. Once people stopped buying the actual product and started downloading. They lost contact of the details of the track because they wont go into the sites and read the information. people dont want to go into the sites as much.
