I didn't like the remake very much. I didn't like that they simply reused the engine from Legend, plus they didn't even include the option of nextgen graphic shaders. But what bothered me the most was that the tombs had become way too complex compared to the first one. Honestly, who'd put bars and rings on the walls inside pyramids??? I would have preferred a darker atmosphere too. And I don't understand why they didn't use the original soundtrack.

I only had two problems with this game:

1. The adrenaline dodge, on PC they could've made it much easier to do.

2. The game was too short. They edited out huge sections of the game which made the original Tomb Raider so great.

You would have to play the original tomb raider to see what I mean, but one notable area is the Great Pyramid level where when you're climbing to the top there were like a dozen rooms, TRA took out all of them.

Still the game is much smaller than the original one. Remember how HUGE Sanctuary of the Scion was? And how much larger the lovely Vilcabamba was? The remake is amazing, but still there're countless things that are missing.

its not meant to be an Action game, The tittle of the game is Adventure. Its more about solving puzzles and exploring your surroundings then shooting everyone on the screen and then taking there ammunation, then to find yourself going into the next room and doing it all over again. :P

In einigen spiel sequenzen zum beispiel in "Rom" bei Koloseum taucht nicht das Main Theme musik auf, was aber beim original kommt. Schon alleine diese Sequenz hatte mich im Jahre 1996 inspiriert gehabt.

Enrage them so that you can use adrenaline then shoot them in the head, then use the grapple to pull of their shields, enrage them again so that they use that thing to turn into stone and reflect it with the shield, he will then be in stone and you shoot him, keep doing that untill they are dead.

The game that changed it all. The original game set the tone for every adventure game to date, so its got alot to live up to.

Shame really that the game is already leaked out to download on PC, but its their own fault for not copyrighting the Review versions they send to game magazines.

Heheh, legend's a load of crud compared to the earlier games. There's hardly even 10 levels in legend whereas in the first game it was pushing to 50. I can't wait to see how they've increased the amount of gameplay in anniversary. I just hope the limit wasn't as crappy as in legend. Graphics just aren't everything. xP

Tomb Raider is my all-time favorite game. My dad bought it when it came out in '96. I was only four but I still watched him play. It holds alot of good memories for me. I think it's great they re-made such a great classic. Definitely buying this. :]

Still, "Tomb Raider: Legend" was great, "Tomb Raider" is classic, and this will no doubt be fantastic if it can merge both and keep the timeless memories of the original game intact.

I hope you didn't plan on fighting a bunch of human enemies in this game. The majority of the enemies were animal/ mutants. The only humans were Larson, Pierre and some minor henchmen in 1 level.
