That's one of the reasons of the seperation with the Catholics and Orthodox, politics. The Orthodox church accepts even non believers to come. If there is others who don't like the Orthodox Faith, they would probably leave. And the Orthodox never left the Catholic church, they are still here, the same, just as Jesus Christ is the same. The Catholics chose to brake away from Orthodox faith back in the day, which a lot of people call the Great Schism.

The official name of the Eastern Church is The Catholic Ortodox Church because it retains the universality (catholic) and all the customs (ortodox) of the First and Undivided Church. Just look up the Nicaean Creed and compare it to the Catholic Creed, you will be surprised how mutch it was changed. Anyway, God won't side at all in a fanatic war, lol!

The state that I come from Kerala,India had one of the first Orthodox movements,before an European nations. St. Thomas one of the 12 apostles of Christ came to India, and was given permission from Hindu kings to build churches. He was even welcomed by Jewish people in India, who sailed to India because of the Babylons.

@elguerreromuisca It is possible to convert if you want. Unfortunately I disagree with your comments about Roman Catholicism. We are one Church East and West that has been sadly divided, but our teachings are overwhelmingly the same (Apostolic succession, Eucharist, Priesthood, etc). As a Catholic priest I pray for unity constantly. The West needs the influence of the East and vice versa, as Christ intended.

That's one of the reasons of the seperation with the Catholics and Orthodox, politics. The Orthodox church accepts even non believers to come. If there is others who don't like the Orthodox Faith, they would probably leave. And the Orthodox never left the Catholic church, they are still here, the same, just as Jesus Christ is the same. The Catholics chose to brake away from Orthodox faith back in the day, which a lot of people call the Great Schism.

For I know that there are Ethiopian Orthodox Christians who are in communion with the Patriarch of Alexandria (and thus,with all the other canonical Orthodox churches),but I'm- currently-not certain if Bob Marley joined this group...

The official name of the Eastern Church is The Catholic Ortodox Church because it retains the universality (catholic) and all the customs (ortodox) of the First and Undivided Church. Just look up the Nicaean Creed and compare it to the Catholic Creed, you will be surprised how mutch it was changed. Anyway, God won't side at all in a fanatic war, lol!

The state that I come from Kerala,India had one of the first Orthodox movements,before an European nations. St. Thomas one of the 12 apostles of Christ came to India, and was given permission from Hindu kings to build churches. He was even welcomed by Jewish people in India, who sailed to India because of the Babylons.

@elguerreromuisca It is possible to convert if you want. Unfortunately I disagree with your comments about Roman Catholicism. We are one Church East and West that has been sadly divided, but our teachings are overwhelmingly the same (Apostolic succession, Eucharist, Priesthood, etc). As a Catholic priest I pray for unity constantly. The West needs the influence of the East and vice versa, as Christ intended.
