  • I wish people go back to how they get their information about "dress codes" in Islam. How much of it is culture and how much of it is Hadeeth, and how much of it is Quran.

You would be surprised how some of the things you thought were fundamental in Islam are not actually very fragile when scrutinized.

  • So men can't cross-dress, show off their navel, or wear their bling? OH NO! What a sacrifice! And all women have to do is cover their head and/or face at all times in public in an expression of "freedom" and "modesty". Yeah, convenient. Male profit, male God, and women have to wear the hijab (or risk their soul, what a choice that is). Convenient.

  • @MagnesDrachen13 women only cover their faces if they want to, it is optional not compulsory. and the reaseon women wear hijab is to hide their beauty from all men apart from their husbands. think about it, do u really want other men staring and oggling at your wife? and it should come at no surprise that it is normally men who oggle and try to flirt with women, which is why dressing is more strict for women.

  • @killer123fromlu4 I know its optional, I just wonder about any religion, christianity included, that "suggests" that women dress a certain way for the sake of their soul because MEN can't control themselves. The bigger issue is lust. If men lust, and they do, isn't that the issue more than whether the woman has her hair/face hidden? I'm not saying we should all be nude, but if hair and facial features is enough for a man to lust after, then the problem is the men, not with the woman's dress.

  • @MagnesDrachen13 sorry for the extremely late reply, havent been on youtube for a while. yes the problem is with men, but u cant discipline every single man in the world. there will always be some who enjoy lusting after women. some women enjoy the attention so dress attractively and weat makeup, its these women that are corrupting men. women who cover up are making a small sacrifice, but its one in the name of God. becuase u are stopping men from being victims of their sexual desires

  • @killer123fromlu4 But that is to say that women are responsible for the hearts of men. So if a man lusts, why does that make it the responsibility of the woman to modify her behavior? Isn't it really an issue between the man and Allah? If a man lusts over a woman, no matter how she is dressed, then he needs discipline, he needs to pray. The woman is free to do what she wants, I just question any religion that puts burden of one person's sins on another. If I lie, it is not because you made me.

  • @MagnesDrachen13 If u read the Quran, it doesnt actually say that women must cover their hair or faces. it says that they should cover up to hide thier nakedness and remain modest. its completly optional if a women wants to cover her face or hair, its not a burden on them as long as they cover their body in clothing, face/hair is optional. but the pious women with a strong imaan (belief in God) want to go further, they want to remain modest. its not only men with a desire for lust

  • @MagnesDrachen13 i found a very good video referring to dressing modestly.plz take the time to watch it /watch?v=pR7CA4aZpqg&feature=channel_video_title

  • @chitrakuut ...Do you think that Allah who created the heavens and the earth did so in play , cause he just had noting better to do @ the time ? | he created Us to worship him Or do you think that He who creatred everything would leave mankind and not give thsm guide like the Quran ) , man even my TV has a guide telling me how to change the colour and it up , so the quran what Allah commands and what will happen if u sin or now repent or not n There is nothing like Allah no human

  • Very nice video, may Allah guide us all! Ameen

  • Only Allah is fit to judge men and women, not us mortals. I've seen alot of men dress like a decent muslim men but they're actually bad people with bad mouths. Looks can be deceiving so don't be fooled by a person through his or her appearance. Dressing modestly will not get you into heaven, but your good deeds will! nuff said.

  • Most likely, the ppl watching this page are muslims, want to know about practicle islam, got time to check out youtube, etc. MY TYPE EXACTLY. wanna know something. what kind of dress should a muslim businessman choose? i mean shalwar kameez ain't impressive enough. Pants-shirts seem too obvious/heavy. then what?

  • Very nice and cute video!

  • jazak allah kair

    but

    men can wear (necklaces/bracelets..)

onely if they wear it to look good or beautiful but cannot wear it if they ment to look like women or if the jewellerys r made from gold

  • @wisegirl5_are Muslim men permitted to wear G-strings? My muslim friend Wayne claims that the Hadith expressly forbids men from wearing thongs, mini-skirts, Alice bands, underskirts, Chanel perfume, little black off-the-shoulder numbers, and blouses. What do you think? I want to be a good muslim and get to heaven.

  • jazak Allahu khair

  • Then you shouldn't watch this movie you stupid!

  • Nobody forced u to watch this, faggot. Don't like it, then why come and bother talking about this, idiot. U r sick of hearing? Who told u to come and listen, jackass?

  • I suppose Mary, mother of Jesus(pbuh), only covered because it was forced on her because of scholars rather than her piety!?

    Yeah, I'm sure.

  • So why complain over a woman's CHOICE to cover?

  • ...a negative for my supporting a woman's CHOICE to wear cover... now that's hypocrisy.

  • I KNOW! We should all dress how MTV and Cosmopolitan TELLS US TO! lol Women should continue the downward spiral of Western misogyny and become more and more naked and worthless and should be judged for everything superficial about their existence! All hail youth and beauty alone! All hail the metrosexual male, the objectification of men and women. Dolla dolla bill, yo!

  • This is not the Quranic dresscode. This is a dresscode ordered by scholars influenced by hadiths and other sources.

Righteousness is the best garment according to the Quran. God knows best who is righteous so leave the judgement up to him.

  • Right, and scholars have no righteousness so there's NO TIE between Islam and Scholars or consciousness of God and knowledge of Qur'an.

    Right?

  • I don't have a problem with scholars wearing traditional clothings and growing beards. However I DO have a problem with scholars claiming this to be religious law and placing blame on people who chose to dress themselves differently. And I do have a problem with people forbidding things that the Quran has not forbidden and claiming this to be religious prohibitions. Enough with indoctrination. Pick up the Quran and verify facts for yourself. Its complete, fully detailed and easy to understand.

  • Does not Qur'an claim that the prophet Muhammad(saws) is a most wonderful example to follow (I'll save you time--yes, it does)? Did not Mary, mother of Jesus(pbut) cover for the sake of God? If it's for the sake of God then the superficiality is removed and the genuineness of said actions warrant reward from God, and God is the ultimate goal. Judging others-especially Muslims (yes, it's in Qur'an, too)-w/o cause is a sin. May God guide us on asSirat alMustaqeem. ameen

    Peace. :)

  • U are right, but following the prophet, does not mean following sayings about him, how he clipped his nails etc. It means to follow him because of the message he has. Just like it was given to prophets before him. The Quran itself says that it contains all guidence we need. And if u want to know what the word hijab really means I suggest u type the words "hijab" and "Mohammad Shaikh" on youtube. I guarantee you a hallelujah-moment.

  • You do for God as you wish to do for God. I was born kuffar and appreciate this deen, I must admit you sound like someone born into Islam--like a person born with that proverbially under appreciated silver spoon. If you are more right than myself may your reward be greater with God on The Day of Recompense than mine, if any for either. amen

  • I was born an atheist like everyone else. I was also indoctrinated like everyone else but I never let any fears stop me from walking my own path. We must chose our teachers and verify things for ourselves, not just obey authorities like blind sheep. Letting go of your fear and daring to open your eyes to different schools of thought is important. It doesn't make u a kuffar. People who tell u this are just afraid that their own hypocracy will come up to the surface. Salam.

  • I wasn't born atheist, I was born a baby. ;) A four-year-old level of cognizance had me believing in God. My 17 year old self had me lost in purpose with what I existed for because I'd become agnostic/atheist/kuffar/whatever and contemplated the inevitability of my demise and found/find science has no answers to this save for my apparent existence being about as arbitrarily inconsequential as dust. My 21 year old self found me being a Muslim and being at peace.

    Peace.

  • @FriedChikkin wowow i read your comment..its seems you have experience in life brother.

    may ALLAH bless you.¨

best life for you full of success and joy.

    peace.

  • @FriedChikkin I found myself wondering why the adults around me didnt see the faults in there religion when i was just 12. I knew then that i could not believe like they believed but i just decided to seperate from all religion until i could find the right one. It took me another 12 years til i found islam and i knew immediately that i had always been muslim. Allah guides who he wills to a path that is right!

  • =)
