It always amazes me how academia is so ignorant of the real information. Saddahm killed hundreds of thousands of his own people, and infact, did use chemical weapons against many tens of thousands also. He had 8 months to hide anything he had. Iraq is now a free nation without the killer dictator. Did they read Daniel Pearl his rights before beheading him. And to think people have died to give you all the freedom to act disrespectfully. I think you are misinterpreting Dr. Rice's quote from the video. She was saying that the President told her (after he consulted with the Justice Dept.) that none of the techniques they planned to use would violate the Convention Against Torture. Since she stuck to these techniques as authorized by the President she knew by definition that there was no violation.

Newly released CIA documents confirm Nancy Pelosi was briefed on this even though she denies it. If she were really that outraged she should have spoken up then. They probably could have prevented some of these techniques from being used. But then hmmm they just might have been blamed (and rightly so) for missing the 2nd Wave of attacks that were planned for LAX and later for the Brooklyn bridge.
