its not hard to be a teen. its easy as hell. ive been to alot of schools and never seen bullying on the scale that people make it out to be. i hate bullying, but seriously, if you commit suicide, youre a pussy who cant handle life. this is real fuck life. people arent gonna want to be youre friends. life sucks, the worlds a dick, get over it!
I don't know what school they go to, but when I went to West High, there was no bullying. Maybe some confrontations with two boys, but nothing like this. Like Femellafil said, this movie is a bunch of shit lies.
I hate getting bullied. Teachers say their going to do something when they don't. And you get in trouble for sticking up for your self. I've gone to the principals office numerous times and they have done nothing. I am at the point where I just can't take it anymore apparently if I have to do something drastic for them to notice so be it.
It's hard to become a teenager. It's like a whole new world. Im a teen never have been bullied but know people who have and I didn't say anything I have felt so much guilt because of it. Because of projects like this it gives kids and adults a voice because they don't have one. Thank you bully project
Its a shame that people...teens n kids have to die before adults realize bullies take it to far. Its getting to the point that we have to ask How many suicides are going to be commited for someone to final get that bullying is a major issue? Its ridiculous
Ah I remember school. The group mentality that says you watch your back and the collective back of your clique and you'll turn out alright. For months a dickish kid and his clique were harassing us. We had tried telling adults and standing up for each other when ever we could. We even came up with clever witty comebacks when they taunted us. None of this worked, none at all. This ass didn't stop until one day I turned around a punched him square in the nose, which was no easy feet because
I really, really want to watch this movie--but am also terrified of it. If there is just one thing that I find absolutely heartbreaking, it is having to watch a kid being bullied. I've never felt like this before, because I was lucky enough to not be bullied nearly as much as others have. But it disgusts me that people could make other human beings feel this way, or do such horrible things. Can't wait to watch this, even though I'll probably sob through the whole thing.
I've been told that this movie may be rated R due to language, violence and suicide themes. It's a shame that this potentially can't be shown in many schools. It's real. Kids know of profanity and suicide. They hear about it every day. If they watch this documentary, they may take it seriously. Maybe then, kids won't be mentally scarred and emotionally messed up the rest of their lives like I am.
what i hope is that true this film tells the story and shows the problems of bulling. i just would really hate that if those who do bully or not see this film not to say that u shouldn't change your behavior and wat not that just to change because you seen this film. You should stop being a dick and not bully at all. And for those who just don't care or see a bullying happen don't just stand their stand the fuck up and be cool because it doesn't hurt makes what hurts is those.......
greatwpzz....your math is off. The number of kids from grades K-12 in America is under 50 million. If 18 million of them experience some sort of bullying (and that does not take into account the ones that do not report it), your looking at close to 40%. This is a huge problem in our schools, most of it steaming from ignorant or intolerant parents teaching their kids how to treat others.
i dont understand any of this... at my school i went to throughout life i was one of the smartest but also i was very sporty and i was in the most popular group, we all played football and were big and tough but we all were the top of our class. why cant these schools be like mine was?
bullying is about maybe affects 4-7 percent of people. it isn't that big of a deal. although some kids get affected not all kids are fucking douche bags and bitches. we should be taught to love everyone when we are in kindergarten and in every grade so we naturally do it.
i see the message they are trying send, but in reality bullying is never going to stop, ever. the only thing an individual can is to learn how to react. show the bully you arent afraid, show that whatever they are doing doesnt even phase you. i know because i was bullied the entire time in elementary, middle, and high school. bullying help shape myself in a positive way. i started defending othe kids that were bullied. learn to react to whatever they throw at you
You know. Want to know WHY bullying has gotten worse? because kids being bullyed cant whip around and beat the liveing shit out of the people bullying them because if they do they go to jail!!!!!! NO Screw your "Anti-Bullying" shit! make a law so if someone who was getting absued can fight back! Words Do NOTHING!
Im saying this as someone whos been bullyed. It gets worse when you try to stand up threw words.
My heart seriously goes out to these kids. I was in 7th grade when this was being documented and it was the worst year of my life. Anywho am in high school and i still dont fit in but these kids need to learn to stand up for themselves. I still might not belong but i sure as hell am not going to let these stupid kids walk over me. Let your voice be heard...
Bullying is a crime in which perpetrators are rarely punished and victims rarely receive justice. This crime is often repetitive, with victims being injured and traumatized over and over, yet bullying is rarely considered as a crime. When this claims another life few notice and few care. Oftentimes the victim is blamed for doing something that must have made them deserve it. Honestly people it's not about how bad it makes your school look, this video is trying to stop bullying and maybe help a
I think its important to show the world whats really going on. I know how easy it is to talk someone down and pushing him away. But we should try to work and live with these people together. Those problems could be stopped so easy cause obviously they're is just useless. Thanks to everyone who read this.
i go to east middle and i honestly have to say that this is dumb, mrs.lockwood is more of a bully then most of those kids. mrs.lockwood the "how can i fix this" woman is a straight up bitch. she had my brother arrested for missing lunch. now ALEX, he was bullied. i did not know him personally, but i knew his sister and i saw alex around at school.
@yaelbunny man Alex is my friend bro and i hit him and you know i really didnt mean it, it was before we became friends i got to know him and he didnt seem troubled he just seems shy and to nervous to talk to people tell him that im sorry if you ever see him
@yaelbunny Im in 8th grade at east middle school and personally from being there mrs. lockwood does a good job and if you want to talk shit about this than you can talk to me! we are 12-14 year old kids, mrs lockwood cant just go easy on us because these are the years of everyone being immature! I dont know where you get this if its from your mom or something but grow up and face it that life isnt easy and that you have to get over it without making such a big drama
@willis346 i respect what you think about her, but i honestly dont believe that at all and neither do a lot of other people. im not making drama, you are.
they completely made my school look like crap. at least two of the people in here from my school ARENT EVEN BULLIED! i know them! they're not bullied! they completely twisted all of the footage that they got from our school. this is crap. i do feel bad for people who are bullied and im not trying to be rude by saying this but i honestly think this is crap and so does everyone else at my school because half of this video is lies.
@Femellaful Thats exactly what I think, by the way this is William Hlas and ik you know me. But about the video there are some people being bullied but thats just wanna be gangsters trying to be cool by making some poor kid feel like hes stupid!
@willis346 ik! its so stupid! like the one where scott got like hit in the head and ms. lockwood ran over there! hes not even bullied! has mrs anderson told you about the video she wants to make?
@Femellaful Yep. BUT THEY COULD HAVE AT LEAST LEFT OUT THE TOWN AND SCHOOL LIKE WHY WOULD YOU WANT TO MAKE A SCHOOL LOOK BAD WHEN WE ARE TRYING TO MAKE MONEY!?
@willis346 ikr?! i wonder if mr. peterson knew thats what they were doing with it and if he did why the heck would he say yes! its like the stupidest idea ever!
I watched this documentary with my school recently, and I must say that I am really moved by it. I ended up in tears several times throughout the movie. But right next to me, some girls sat and made fun of the main characters in the movie, wich really pissed me of. Girls like that are the persons who really makes people's lives miserable.
the trouble is, most bullies are not even bullying because they have a raw deal at home. They are doing it to elevate their status in the eyes of their peers and to gain a sense of "pride" in their authority over those who prefers not to be rude back, badmouth back, or pay them back. This is especially so in girl bullies who go around in a clique
Fuck these bitches who bully them i will fuck you up call me up bully victims i will fuck your bullies up cause im sick and tired of hearing people getting bullied cause i dont get how poeple can bully.
@DinosaurShapedTowels not to be rude or anything but putting "stupid" into your sentence is just as bad as a bully. your calling them stupid now. which is wrong which i don't believe you ment it that way.
@Nightmareahh this is the problem who taught you this and how does this make sense? there gay happy or they gay gay??? in liking same sex that what gay stands for. you better use the correct way and stop with the name calling.
Don't let anybody put you down! To all the people who think it cools to make fun of someone, bully, pick on, ect is nothing but trash! Hearing about children who have only experienced 12 yrs on this earth take their own life cause of bullying is truly gut wrenching! Keep ur head up and hold on.
This is a most important film that accurately depicts the hurt, confusion and tramma experienced by children in our schools and also portrays the lack of focus on this topic by some school administrators. When parents know how to effectively communicate with their child and how to effectively communicate with the school they can play an important role in ending the hurt.
Edward F. Dragan, author, "The Bully Action Guide: How to Help Your Child and Get Your School to Listen"
Parents need to teach their children that if they bully someone to the point they don't wanna go to school or live, they're gonna get their ass beat. Thats what mine did, and it's one of the greatest lessons I got to learn.
"My concern is, is that you are making someone feel so uncomfortable, they didn't wanna' be in school"
No no, if only it was just that
I didn't want to live. I thought about killing myself day in and day out from age 10 to age 18 and the only ****ing reason I didn't is because I was told that maybe someone out there might care if I did. As much as I doubted it.
@Skylar091 theres a showing tonight in sioux city iowa at the orpheum theatre at 6 o clock for free, then nov.3 its supposed to come out on dvd and also used for education purposes
As somebody who got bullied in elementary school, middle school AND high school, I don't think this is exclusive to the US. This is part of life. How you react to it will determine how your life proceeds. I am at the top of my college class. All my bullies have dropped out and have taken jobs as janitors, fry-chefs, or something else comparable. This is winning, although I feel no satisfaction in their misery.
@nofalltoofar Bullies are often victims themselves. They suffer from violence within their own family. They have been brainwashed since a very early age that men HAD to be tough, even violent to other men in order to make their way to the top. They are absolutely not aware of the damages they do to their victims. Psychological assistance should be used to cure these bullies (and their victims, of course).
Unbelievable how people can be so cruel. People need to realize though that this all starts at home and with the parents. Parents need to instill respect for others at an early age and we wouldnt have this issue.
My eyes well up, my heart aches when I see and hear the anguish of these children who suffer as my daughter did and she lost too many schoolmates to suicide. When she hit the bottom we were so lucky she called me from the bathroom. It was a long and hard way back and history can't be changed but the future can. Adults, keep your eyes and ears open, pay attention not just to your own children but be sensitive to others. You just might save a life. Make sure you are in a position to hear "help".

everyone who’s been bullied or felt alone and made it through knows that it gets so much better....life after high school changes so much...personally in college I’ve met people who in high school would probably not have been my friends, in fact I've actually become friends with people from high school who did not know who i was and i did not know them.... everyone finds their niche in life you just have to hold on
I am tearing up as I type this because I used to be like these kids and it means so much to know that their stories are heard and spread. Its not always a happy ending for all of these kids I got lucky and went from nobody to somebody because I used my depression to draw strength on. I got up everyday and smiled and kept doing what made me happy and talked to someone new everyday until I made my first friend when I was thirteen. Stay strong everyone who has and is being bullied. You'll make it.
When I was picked on as a kid, I would pick on other kids to make myself feel better. I wish I could go back to elementary school and junior high and change the way I treated some people.
its not hard to be a teen. its easy as hell. ive been to alot of schools and never seen bullying on the scale that people make it out to be. i hate bullying, but seriously, if you commit suicide, youre a pussy who cant handle life. this is real fuck life. people arent gonna want to be youre friends. life sucks, the worlds a dick, get over it!

They have to include Casey Heynes in this film!
He demonstrated how to combat against a bully.
If you don't know who's Casey Heynes Google him.
