The only reason the UK hasn't won Eurovision in so long is because we don't have good enough acts or they're not well known enough. That Lena girl who represented Germany was very well known in Europe which was why she won in 2010. However, I personally think people vote with political motives which is the best reason why we don't do well in Eurovision, anyone remember 2003's nul point? Plus nobody in Europe likes us Brits because we're a laughing stock of the world..

If it was just a public vote, everything would of went vice versa. This would be 10th whilst this year Blue would of been 5th. It was the combination of the jury vote that brought Blue down to 11th place. Funny cos if it was just jury for 2009 then this song would of been 3rd!

@deliciator855 Which is a good thing right? The one thing i never liked about Eurovision is countries continously voting for their neighbours even if the song was shit. It's suppose to be a song contest not a vote for your neighbour contest, and this proves that when it's pruely done on a song ( which it should be ) that the U.K have a much better chance. And actually she did well because she has an amazing voice, the song might be a bit repetative but you can't deny that her voice is great.

The reason the UK does poorly is not because Europe dislikes us, it's because:

1. Political voting - countries vote for their neighbours, and it's been especialy bad in recent years

2. While it is a cheesy contest, cheesy does not mean crappy, and yet, some of our acts have been absolute crap.

This was our best year for ages! :) Who knows, a few years down the line, we migth actually win again! :O
