as you know, the poop and urine litter clumps are rotated ALL THE WAY around the INSIDE WALLS of the globe, until they fall out the waste doors.
this means, your cat's head, shoulders, tail, etc. are going to TOUCH the waste that is left caked on the inside walls of the globe. that is not only unsanitary for the cat, but also for the people in the home.
there are other issues, but that is a deal killer!
Does the black model gets dirty on the outside with the clay litter?, I saw another video in which the robot was black and on the outside look like the clay litter was leaving a gray line around like a belt
Our box got dirty and I couldn't figure out how to wash it off until I called customer service---the lady on the phone was super nice and told me a wonderful secret---it is called ARMOURALL!!! It works like a dream, you spray it on and it wipes the marks right off!!
One of my cats is 18 pounds too and I'm about to buy this litter robot, but I still have a few concerns; would he fit in there? I guest if yours fitted mine will too, does too much clean litter goes to the tray?,
my small cat dig like crazy before doing his business, so some times the clump gets stick on the bottom (I use clay litter), I imagine that since this thing is a drum no matter how much he digs, he won't get to the bottom cause the litter will fell back, am I correct?
Hi Nancy- It depends on how adaptable your cat is. Our cat is fine with the litter robot. At first he seemed embarrassed to go in front of everyone so I had to turn the robot around to face the wall. He also had to get used to how to cover his litter and was kicking it out of the robot around the room, but when we faced it to the wall he would kick it and hit the wall and it would bounce back at him, so he figured out how to "contain" the litter in the box.
