After watching everyone from ZIzi to Ferri perform this exquisite pas de deux, over the years, it remains perhaps the most perfect dance work ever....Roland Petit at his finest.
Girls have it harder because we do EVERYTHING in a pdd, and all the guy has to do is lift. But guys have insanely crazy high jumps, faster and longer turns, and such. But they dont have to wear pointe shoes... so I guess it evens out. But I think the difficulty of their style of dancing is harder than the girls'.
If there is perfection in this crazy world... well, look at its best!
PS -rest in peace, Roland, when people like you leave- it is a big loss for all.

Ballet doesn't seem to be all that hard for men as it can be for women
