I've been playing this on M.A.M.E for the past year or so..that super jump just sort of comes and goes at it pleases..but I'm told that if you push both buttons at once, you get a certain type of move on the halfpipe at least.
I think if you hold down the jump button you get a bigger and higher jump?...This is my favorite arcade game and the only place I can find it is at the Slidebar cafe (The Regan Years Arcade) in Fullerton, California

I've seen 1k jumps on ALL the machines in the La Puente/West Covina area back in the 80s. I thought it was normal.
