i hqce the dv4000 and its slow. i wiped it and its so much faster. 1gb ram no upgrades.2005. runs minecraft tiny at 50+ fps.

By the way. Did you upgrade anything on your hp dv4000? I have the 4275nr, but it's been so slow in general that it's not very useful anymore. Is yours working well/fast? Or did you upgrade a RAM or harddrive or something? My battery is really bad too. Also, I can't use this laptop for taking notes in class because the battery dies fast. Right now I'm considering adding RAM. The one it has now is like 500MB. So upgrade to 2MB (the max it can take).

I agree with jagex and captain ash. that was a horrible comparison. You accomplised nothing more than showing you know nothing. I have an HP Pavilion DV2000, have had it for the last two years with windows vista. Its weaker than your dv4000, yet loads faster than it. because i dont make everything load up at boot. just whats necessary. my new DV6 is great. and runs like a charm.

This is a terrible comparison. You cant compare XP with Vista... The newer one took longer to boot since it was running vista, which is more resource heavy.
