And with this new kid carcillo, I don't think there's going to be a spot on the roster for Cote soon. Face it, he can't skate, score, or pass. We have a big enforcer in Asham, plus a smaller antagonist in Carcillo. Sure, Cote does what Stevens tells him, but he can't make plays.

Ilove the flyers .......but they better tell mike richards to plan on killing off a lot of penalties. Your boy carcillo is great for the dumb ass penalties at the worst of times. I predict a lot of bad calls in the playoffs and the flyers will be on the short end quite often. Mike richards ( i have his edge orange jersey by the way) is gonna get a lot of chances for a 5-3 shorthanded goal this postseason. The team was complaining about dumb penalties, so they aquired carcillo........wtf?

yeah, i have no idea other than to say that along with cote's position being filled by Asham and Carcillo, he was a major contributor to penalty minutes. And yeah, when I first heard of Carcillo's scouting report about how he was taking "fewer dumb penalties than before" it was pretty confusing that we were even looking at him.

I have to say carcillo is the least of the problems, they just finished a good day of penalty killing practice up in new york. I like carcillo, my concern is mr briere his dump in with 23 seconds left in the game was pretty impressive.......looks to build on that especially with the announcing crew even realizing he was basically ineffective(I would call it useless) play today. Briere on the ice is basically shorthanded for the flyers. he needs to sit!

you're totally right, I saw him play today, and every shift he finished looked like he emptied his tank. I'm not saying I dislike carcillo, I'm just saying we have 3 enforcers on the team now (4 even if you count Powe), all with varying skill levels, so I think it's time we swap Cote out with someone who can pass and stick handle.

the problem with upshall was that he just cost too much, there was no way we could have kept him and lupul, so it was really between those two. I think we made the better choice in lupul, but come on, you're saying you'd rather have carcillo over metropolit? I remember 1 game metro had something like 9/12 face-offs. He couldn't shoot, but damn could he set up centering passes.
