if you guys didn't know, those thin boards are very easy to break.. if you fold it with just a little bit of pressure it would bend and break. its more of a confidence thing taught to little kids.
It is not Karate, it is Taekwondo (WTF style). You can see it at the suit of the Instructor. Only WTF TKD uses this kind of suit. And also the dummy in the back is wearing a TKD protective vest!
oh and as for the guy asking why theres korean flafs there is american karate known as kenpo multiple karate forms that are japanese ad theres korean karate not to menchion no one seems to know karate came from shiolin
well yess he broke the board people the grain of the wood runs front to back not lenth ways ..you see karte boards are not meant to be hard to break but to show precision any idiot who thinks these are the equivalint of a board bought at lowes needserious help ....why do you think they sell boards for breaking online ...and im very proud of your lil brother
Oh come on, he's just a small kid. If you actually look clearly at how his master/instructor held the board, you would have known why the board broke into 3.
The master did not break that board for him! I know that because I`m his older sister. My mom put this video on youtube when I was 6 years old. If you watch it again, look in the backround and you`ll see the little, 6 year old eating an apple. That`s really me. Also I like the people who said my little brother broke the board and hate the people who said he didn`t. :I
@HannahStar369 Hannah, it is great that your brother started martial arts at such a young age, and it's honorable that you defend him against people that say the master broke it for him. With all due respect however, I should tell you that a board placed on a pair of bricks will not break in 3 pieces if you hit it in the center, it would just split in 2 pieces. The only way to get 3 pieces is if somebody is applying tension. The master didn't break it for him, but he did help with his fingers.
@onixdragon112189 When you give them this false satisfaction, you take away from them the true satisfaction that they would have gotten on the day that they actually learn to do it properly (without help).

this is a good way to instill excitement into the younger students. kids aren't gonna be interested in something they continue to fail at.
