Thanks for sharing your story. I can relate, because I suffered with acne as a teen. It was horrible. In the end, I found an effective acne treatment product that worked great for me and I tried them all.
What I recommend to others now is The NeoStrata Oily/Acne Prone Protocol. This product features several clinically-proven ingredients to target oily, problematic skin, resulting in smoother, and clearer skin.

"we take a pin, and break through the surface PAINLESSLY".... yeah right!! It was so painful (same feeling as if she were sticking my face anywhere with a needle. Ouch, and needless to say, I ended the session and haven't gone back:(
I used to have those too but then this boy made fun of me and instead of crying I decided to get rid of them myself. I got a needle and sterilized it, popped them and used a whitehead/blackhead extractor to take out the white part. It sounds gross but it's worth it, cheap too. Don't waste your money.
I've had those before. They can be extracted, but it's best to prevent them. I sometimes get tiny bumps near eyes & on waterline when I've been using new/more eye products or cosmetics. I switched to Tarte cosmetics which are all natural and that seems to have helped. Drinking lots of water also helps remove oils and reduce skin issues. I do recommend taking a break from lining your waterline while you heal
i have like a hundred of small bumps under my eye "cyrcles" (the area that gets black if you dont sleep, get tired etc) they feel to be hard.. and like a thousand on my outer penile skin and testcles...the ones on my genetalia are almost invisible i can see them only on erections probably because skin gets streched and forces them to go out...it should not be a STD since i have those thing in both areas(eyes genetalia)many years before i had any sort of sexual contact i have no other side effects
Thanks ... I do have an appointment with a dermatologist next month. Can't wait. I've had this condition for a few months. This condition is also more noticeable when you wear makeup. So frustrating.
the skin under my eyes is prone to milia right now i only have a little one.i went to the dermatologist he told me i can get them removed at a beauty salon and to use non comedogenic products, but i'm wondering about what kind of exfoliant can i use on my eye area since it's so delicate?. i also have this little skin coloured bump ON my waterline, he said it's milia too and can't be removed but i'd like to know if you've ever seen a case like this and if, indeed, it can't be treated. thanks!
i spent $400 at the dermatologist to get my milia removed under my eyes ... it was the biggest waste of $400 i ever spent in my entire life .. it hurt & it would have cost me thousands to get them ALL removed.. a month or two later.. they were all back .. im gunna dedicate time every wknd to sit in front of my 15x mirror with a needle lol
I have a bump on my lower water line of my eye. Its skin colored and looks like a pimple but no white stuff. Its transparent but skin colored. What do I do?
I've had quite a big milia on my face for years now. I had it pricked by my GP a couple of years ago,but nothing happened. I really hate my appearance and I want to get rid of it asap!
I have seen 3 dermatologists over the past 10 years about milia under my eyes. None of them would remove them with the pin and extraction method. It makes me so frustrated! Every one of these doctors recommended having them removed with lazer in a hospital setting, which of course is NOT covered by insurance and is unaffordable for me. Each of these 3 doctors seemed that they couldn't be bothered with me.
This is why I've been to the doctors twice since 2004 lol. Once for a melanoma scare... looked serious, docs didn't know what it was so they removed it. And the second time to get results and stitches removed (No melanoma :) ). Unless it's life-threatening I'm never going docs.. they just waste your time and money.
Got a milia under my eye now... gonna take it out myself haha
sir i have like a lot of milia on my back and i might think that it will take them forever to poke thru them all. i also this cystic acne bump that gotten hard and it wont go away it just grow bigger. it doesnt hurt if i try to squeeze them. i dont know what to do. so depress. this have been stopping me from living my life, such as going to the beach or the pool. since it look really nasty. please help me huhuhuhuhu. can't find a girl like this. they ran away the min i show it them. i wanna die.
i have alot of tiny bumps on my skin but they're not white , they're actualy the same colour as my skin , just tinyyy elevated bumps on the nose and on my chin and my forehead , my mom told me they're not acne , but i dont know if it's milia . i really hate them :(
I got my milia removed by my derm. He pricked them and squeezed them out. Ouch. Didn't hurt too too bad. He said that they will come back eventually, but that it wasn't my fault.
@fruittart4eva me too and it sucks....i just put a little liquid exfoliator on a QTip and rub it on them like every other night...it helps but they're not gone yet....
will millia go away by itself? and i always have lots of white heads , when i wake up in the morning my skin look ok but after 2 hrs white heads appear , i hv to squeeze them out every night. possible for you todo a video regarding white heads ? thank u very much. i always find your video very helpful :)
@nikimeow you should try this product called ZapZyt....put it on before bed and it helps clear out all of your pores while you sleep...it saves my life lol
@adinorowr: The ones you get removed will not come back, but removing Milia does not prevent new ones from occurring. You need to understand what is causing them so that you can apply the proper treatment as stated in this episode.
@RedHeadExitting With regular exfoliation and a skin-type appropriate cleanser. And if that doesn't work, then reducing the weight of your other skin care products. And if all else fails, a trip to the dermatologist.
@loladaydreams: Most little bumps under the eyes are actually clogged sweat glands, and they tend to have a flat appearing surface. They are called syringomas and need to be removed individually by simple surgery. But to be sure, you should see a dermatologist to find out.
same here. I can't find a dermatologist anywhere in my area, and the beauty clinics refuse to touch them. They are not that bad but I want to get rid of them!!
I have really tiny little dots under my eyes, however I'm not sure if it can be considered milia since it is SO TINY, about the size of a period (.) I don't know how to treat this...I use eye creams, however I use really light ones, called eye serums and it never leaves my eyes sticky or oily so I don't know what it might be...or what to do.
@Noodlez: Most little bumps under the eyes are actually clogged sweat glands, and they tend to have a flat appearing surface. They are called syringomas and need to be removed individually by simple surgery. But to be sure, you should see a dermatologist to find out.
i've been using 'St. Ives Naturally Clear' apricot exfoliate, and i've been getting a ton of milia on my forehead, is that because of too much chemicals or something? it says to use 3-4 times a week, but now i think i should use it once a week....what do i do????? and why am i getting this?
@WebkinzModelz13: (PART I) Getting a lot of milia only on your forehead is often related to hair products that are too heavy for your skin. That can be a shampoo, a conditioner or a cream rinse which, despite your not applying it to your skin, coats the hair and remains in your hair. Then, when you perspire or become warm, some of the product that coats your hair seeps down the hair shaft onto the forehead and can clog the pores. (CONTINUED...)
(PART II) It would be unlikely for an apricot exfoliant to cause milia and, if anything, I would expect that the exfoliant would help milia. The real question is, have you changed any of your hair products in the time period before the milia started appearing?
@smoky2004: Milia are whiteheads, or little acne cysts under the skin. They are not related to diary intake and cannot be cured or prevented by avoiding dairy. The only ways to treat them are to use exfoliants or to see your dermatologist and have the milia extracted out of the skin in a painless procedure.
Is it true that the salicylic acid in aspirin can with time help get out the milia if you apply the aspirin as a mask on your face? And is the clycolic acid in sugar any good if you apply the sugar with for ex. olive oil as a scrub on your face? :S I'm trying to get rid of this at home and I haven't found products that actually contain salicylic acid and all that, except for the aspirin :s :S Any other good cheap suggestions for me? I don't have money for extraction :(
@Sstirr: Neither sugar nor aspirin applied directly on the skin will help. There are countless inexpensive over the counter acne products containing salicylic acid that can help without spending money on extractions. See the DermTV episode titled, "Acne Treatment in Three Easy Steps" for some example. You can find this episode on YouTube or on the homepage of DermTV.

Some internal problems? Should I get checked? I had them my whole life.
