  • You're good, man, You'd be great if you used that pinky though! ha jk

  • I've played dozens of basses ranging in value from $70 to $7000. The Geddy jazz is my main bass. It easily outperforms basses that cost twice as much. Fender Japan is a TOP-NOTCH quality manufacturer (and has been for over fifteen years), and the Geddy Lee jazz bass is a WORLD-CLASS instrument.

  • i've played a lot of basses and the geddy is my favorite (even over rickenbackers and wals) but its expensive enough to not buy as your first bass, make sure you're in to it first :)

also, a few wrong notes but not too bad on the vid

  • Geddy Lee bass? Dude I played one in Guitar Center and after I played a Rush song I got a round of applause for such a great sound

  • @Dthorn912 Guitar center is just a big storeline of suckass

  • @Rushguitarist1 true that man

  • this sounds pretty good on behalf of the left hand but your right hand needs a bit more work to sound more similar to geddy himself, for one, you need to beat the shit out of your strings with your fingers to get that his attack

  • @analprobe981

Agreed, 90% of anyone that I have talked with that try to get his tone stand around wondering HOW he gets it. Its all in the right hand. he REALLY shows those strings no mercy.

  • are you geddy?

  • Played the right way, nice and loud!

  • It's OK. A lot better than other covers i've seen on here, but OK.

  • geddy lee jazz? i want 1 SO bad

  • my uncle says they are crap

  • well your uncle dont know shit

  • my uncle has the exact bass a Geddy, his bass is 1972, sunburst with brown pickguard, same bridge, he said the reason they are crap because they are made in Japan, and they used cheap pickups on the bass. so he DOES know about basses

  • There were a couple mistakes but still a pretty good job.

  • good job dude!

  • awesome man we should jam hahah i love this song

  • yes it is.

  • Are they any good?? (geddy lee jazz bass) I've tried one befor but i want to know from someone who's had it a bit longer.

  • i bought this bass a year ago and it was my first bass. i don't have any base of comparison. but i still think it was the perfect instrument for a beginner. the neck is thin and it makes thing a little more easier.

  • lol i wouldnt say for a beginner its 800 dollars lol i just got mine 2 months ago

  • Nice, thats a geddy lee jazz bass right?
