Sorry, but the officer is not going to risk his safety so you can keep your clothes clean. Put yourself in the officers shoes, there is one of you and 4 or more of them, what would you do? Would you allow someone you suspect of committing a crime to be in a position where they could run or attack you while your searching their car? No, of course you wouldn't.

The Constitution of the United States prohibits unreasonable search and seizure which should be defined by a rational person as the reasonable suspicion of the commission of a crime. just not liking how the person looks is not enough.
