@onegreenday Look, I'm all for change and regulation. However, first this is a states issue, not a federal issue, second, the meat industry shouldn't be shut down. When I look around at all the people who use animals, or work with them, I see basically the economy. If PETA outlawed EVERYTHING that dealt with animals, our economy would collapse dramatically. Thirdly, there is a difference between use and abuse, one that PETA ignores. Eating meat is not abuse, slaughtering for no reason is.

They don't want us to use animals for ANY purpose, whether it is abuse or not. When you think about EVERYTHING that animals affects in our lives, we would collapse the economy because of the job loss, more killing would ensue because people could no longer support their pets, and hunters would stop trying to conserve land due to a loss of money.
