As engineering materials continue to advance & improve; board thickness, flexibility, weight & design will/may change. This will allow for even more extreme 'tricks' depending on rider creativity, skill & willingness to put their ass on the line - male or female!

Ok, so engineers design SBs based on gender? What calculation factor is that: 1/%Sxy! Engineers design SB based on available materials (*obviously), riders body weight, boot size (*SB widths) & terrain usage. Yes, there should be a consideration for the strength level of the rider (*but this is not wholly a factor of gender); "rider" strength & fitness level is a factor that has a direct impact on the rider's skill.
