Dubai has a fantastic driverless Metro system but I think we have to recognise the difference between a driverless train and this new concept of "Personal Rapid Transit" which, as far as I'm aware, Abu Dhabi's Masdar City may be the first major implementation. It's not just an evolution of a computer controlled train, its a revolution in the way people make make use of transport. I just hope it's integrated with a wider transport system outside of Masdar.
@CROPECKdotCOM The UAE is, perhaps surprisingly, pretty progressive in promoting women. As an example just look at Sheikha Lubna al-Qasimi, a prominent and successful minister in the UAE Government. Seeing a female project manager here is absolutely commonplace.
hmmmm nice...But Opportunity lost? I am lamenting the impact of the GFC on infrastructure projects in some countries, bean counters trying to make back the money they lost.
And now those damn protesters in gulf states trying to gain some 'rights', how dare they upset the apple cart (lols).....
A bit bumpy for high-tech cars, isn't it?

@hustletv The Heathrow International Airport in London will be the world's first airport to use this PRT system. They're building it right now.
