  • osama got the idea from this movie since the new york cia was going after arab oil from their world trade office

  • This film's soundtrack is one of the best of all-time. Unusual, funky and classy.

  • And that, kids, is why you should avoid using soundtrack music.

  • This film was a major dissapointment... I was expecting something much more ruthless and unforgiving... the scenarios and the way it happens is absurd... and Faye Dunaway as a shy girl is pretty quick to buy it and try it...if only all girls were like that... not a patch on Marathon Man... Only like the music and some of the street scenes

  • めちゃくちゃおもしろそう!

  • My mom got me to watch this movie with her recently, I kept being reminded of "The Bourne Identity" while watching it. I'm convinced whoever wrote the screenplay for the "Bourne Identity" was influenced by this movie.

  • @loner1878 Novel Bourne Identiy was written by the Robert Ludlum, a 1970's/80's cult writer of political conspiracy thrillers.

  • @Quex01

I know, I said I believed someone who worked on the Bourne movie was influenced by this film though.

  • never saw it but found out we have it. is it good?

  • Brilliant Film.

But the tagline, "In danger and in love". Please pass the cheese.

  • @Rocafile you forgot the part where the mailman says.."government pens" .... but hey, skilcraft pens wrote pretty good... lol one of the better fight scenes in a movie.. and the hit scene with the mailman is one of the most chilling in any movie in my view.. great movie

  • Great flick. Max Von Sydow is superb. Redford at his best.

  • Faye Dunaway was BEAUTIFUL!

  • This is the movie that led me to becoming a liberal Democrat.

  • @oneputtsteven If you need a movie to inspire your political views, then you have issues, in my opinion...

  • Love this film!

  • You can Download this Search google for 'TheNewsBuzz"

  • As much as I like Robert Redford, Max Von Sydow has got to be one of the greatest actors EVER! hands down.

  • "WhO CAN You TRUST"/iT"S ALL a CONSPIRACY MAN !!!

LoVe 70s-Movies With Robert Redford !

  • When I showed this film to my international politics class in 1998 they kept laughing at all the primative technology.

  • @OroborusFMA Yes but look at the prescience of the movie, invading the Middle East, still addicted to oil, government and Big Oil tied at the hip.

  • hey buddies you forgot Shnelinger's Marathon Man with Dustin Hoffman and Laurence Olivier, Roy Sheider, Marthe Keller and William Devane?

  • @myryckyz That's one of my all-time faves as well.

  • What a HAUNTING movie !

Robert Redford is priceless and Faye Dunaway is as talented as beautiful ( what a soothing face ! ).

Cheers from France et merci beaucoup, c'est génial.

  • Did I overlook something or is the "What is it?! What is it?"-scene missing in the film?!

  • @adasdf342 you're right, sometimes trailers have cut scenes. in "the good the bad and the ugly" trailer, you have a little clip from a scene and they have lost the film where it was, so the only proof that we have that this scene exist is in the french trailer

  • he just reads books.

  • understated by redford as usual. quality.

  • brilliant film..i think i've seen it about 168 times...lol

  • It is pretty much a Bourne film but in the 1970's. Same kind of style and equally enjoyable.

  • With a bit more substance.

  • the entire movie was/is on youtube.....I just dont remember what the title of the videos were....tdoc....or something like that. Cant find it any more.

  • i liked this video :)

ANYONE UP? I NEED SOMEONE TO TALK TO nb

  • Seen this film about 30 times. Good then, good now. They don't make them like this anymore. The cast were all top notch, the acting carried the tension, rather than overdone music as often is now the case.

  • Yes!

What a great film. I've only seen it about 5 times.

  • I love this movie!

  • Sharon, where ever you are , remember you, Ricardo 1975

  • class flick !

  • brilliant film..i love this!

  • I would want to see another remake ONLY if they stuck to the book and made it SIX Days of the Condor as was intended.

  • I saw this last night on TCM (as a tribute to Sidney Pollack); had never seen it before. Good music, for sure. The plot may have seemed shocking but now, unfortunately, we probably all can easily believe this could happen. The WTC scenes are especially dramatic here, of course.

  • "in danger...and in love" :)

  • @edmame ARE YOU A GAY BOY ?

  • I might rent this again today.

  • Excellent movie!

  • Whats the song in this?

  • I believe that most trolls are sad people, living their lonely lives vicariously through those they see as strong and successful. For trolls, any response is 'recognition'; Their ego grows directly in proportion to the response, regardless of the form or content. How sad do you have to be to find such mind-numbingly trivial time wasting to be funny? Remember that trolls are cowards; they'll usually post just enough to get an argument going, then sit back and enjoy the responses

  • i would like to see them do this film again.

    great movie.

  • God forbid they should remake this. I can see it without Sydney Pollack at the helm. Focus groups, test screening, a happy ending. No remakes, please.

  • well, hard to do since sydney is gone...r.i.p.

but did you know they are doing 'the taking of pelham 1,2,3 again?

  • A true to life film as I think if we only believed 10% of what Hollywood produces we'd be onto understanding alot more about the politics that cause war ect. The other good bit is the filming which took place inside the WTC

  • You trust Hollywood more than Washington? Who is gullible enough to believe either of those entities?

  • "if we only believed 10% of what hollywood produces we'd be onto understanding a lot more about the politics that cause war etc" is a scary thot. last place to learn anything is from liberal, rich, hypocritical, pornographic, illiterate, anti-elderly, anti-american hollywood.

  • love you

  • One of my favorite movies of all time! I first saw this back in the mid 80s on public television.

  • Sensational film...up-to-date as well! By the way "dlpine"...I fucked your wife and you´re right; she is better than Faye Dunaway!

  • By the way everyone: Lardass56 is a 14 year old fat girl from Kentucky who flames youtube because she's angry about being to disgusting to get a boyfriend. Poor her.

  • One of the best movies ever made. The tension between Dunaway and Redford is incredible. Dave Grusin's sound track is so cool. Max von Sydow rocks as the morally ambiguous assassin, and I'm not just saying that because he's my cousin.

Even though technology has changed dramatically, the basic premise and curcumstances of the protagonist are very real, even today.

    One of my all-time favourites.

  • silly me, silly boy. i'll say whatever i think, thanks.

  • lucky me. my lovely wife looked like faye dunaway in this movie when we married twenty-five years ago. except prettier.

  • I've no doubt she looked like Ms. Faye, and I'll bet she was far nicer, too. Look at the way they lit her for the railway scene -- and how Pollack let the camera linger upon her. She's the last of the great screen beauties dating back to the thirties era... same projected aura of Crawford and Davis and the rest.

  • thanks gore53. i didn't come up with this, but when we were first married - twenty-five years ago - people would come up to her when we traveled and ask if she was faye dunaway.

one time and you go "okay". many times and it's like, what's going on here? i was getting that "mr. faye dunaway" feeling. thank goodness, my wife is even nicer than she looks.

  • Very intelligent thriller-very New York and a good role for Faye Dunaway, playing a non-bitchy charactor.

  • I really loved the Bourne series and my parents said I'd like this movie too. Thoughts? Anyone?

  • I've seen this movie three times and it is a GREAT film. Your parents are right...it is an intelligent thriller. You may have to take notes to keep up. Its pertinence to today makes it doubly eerie.

  • In my opinion, this is the best espionage-thriller together with "The Spy Who Came in from the Cold"

  • great movie, bad trailer...sounds like Robert Redford as Shaft...haha

  • haha. Totally! I love this porno, wocka wocka music.

  • this is a superb movie and redford is fantastic

  • the soundtrack is arranged by dave grusin

  • Good movie, and first comment!
