What they are trying to do is help others that are just older grapplers learn some ideas and concepts on how to do better, learn how to win more and understand some better ideas for older grapplers.

I have to say I dont need a translator im not just Older Ju-Jitsu person but im old Wrestler with 36 years wrestling im All-American and National champion multi state champ. Im 4th Dan now in Jui-Jitsu, 4th Dan in Hapkido, 1st Dan Judo, 1st Dan in Kenpo, and have over 3 years doing Sambo. Im saying is some guys really have issue with learning since some young guys just abuse them.

No doubt there are older people in jiu-jitsu, but this is still a scam. usually anything that promises amazing, almost impossible, results in a short amount of time is a scam. like weight loss or body building. the truth is, stuff like this just takes a lot of practice and experience. there are no "secret moves" or any mumbo jumbo like that. what will they learn from this video that they wont anywhere else. probably nothing.

I understand what you saying my friend.. if you find out exactly what they are trying to do is say look you need to have at times help, some people go and cant do well just give up. When you have a coach or good person to help keep you going and doing well you will do really well. I think Paul just trys to tell you what happened to him so you are able to not fall into some traps that happen and with someones help he can try to help you do better that is all he is trying to do.

I've never experienced this type of attitude at either my Judo school, or at my BJJ school. The guys that "kicked" my but always stopped the rolling session to point out things that I did that kept getting me tapped.

My instructor also welcomed every neby and, would not let them roll untill they had learned the basic defense postures and, escapes.

Otherwise, this BJJ school seemed to be an act and, was filled with jocks, rather than martial artists.

Why should he retire? BJJ is a martial art, which means that one doesn't have to compete to have it be meaningful. The heart of BJJ was self-defense and, it's also a fun way to exercise. The wrestling mindset is a sport mindset, which seems to mean that once you can't compete at the top levels, you quit, apparently to get fat, old, out of shape and, eventually die. Helio Gracie is in his 90's and, still practices BJJ. No one need retire from BJJ because of age.
