U.S. Chinese trade favors China. He is correct. However, the U.S. can't change trade negotiations so easily, nor is it smart to isolate the U.S. and cease trade altogether. International trade is necessary for global stability. We got less from the deals because we were far better off than the countries we traded with. To demand more of them at the time would have been viewed as severe exploitation, such as England did to the U.S in early America and countless other countries.
And we're not that bad off in comparison to the extremely poor of China, or it's quasi-slave-labor force. FYI, Richard Nixon (Republican) is responsible for re-establishing trade with China. People now are starting to recognize how little the U.S. received from this establishment of trade. And I'M Republican, and still I recognize initial blame goes to Nixon.
Yes Clinton has his share too, and there are plenty of other reasons, some that were mistakes that could have been avoided, and others that were necessary and helpful to China as well as the U.S in matters of Cambodia, the U.S.S.R, Taiwan and other things I'm ignorant of I'm sure. Having China relinquish the exclusion of certain U.S. products from their country is a good thing. Raising tariffs on the products that we import is a good thing. It's not as though we were doing great in the first place, and Pres. Bush authorized a 700 Billion dollar bail-out. Market fluctuation, mistakes, trade, recession, war, etc. Occur no matter who's President. You can look at any decision of any president at the time they made it, and point out all the potential and immediate negative effects. It doesn't make you a genius, it makes you a scared pussy.
I don't agree with what he is doing, but what do I know? And what do any of you know about how to handle and resolve trade-deficits and public and governmental debt? What do you know about how to handle educating the masses, or how to care for the sick? Everything is far more complicated than it seems, and it's not as bad as it seems. If you think we're somehow going to LITERALLY be owned by the Chinese, then thinking might not really be FOR YOU. Even if we are far surpassed by the Chinese, it's not as though we can't rise up after a fall. Look how much China has risen, and no matter how bad it gets, we're not going to be as bad as China was and kinda' still is.
Be realistic, barring a major catastrophic world war or natural disaster, things won't get that bad. Unemployment isn't Pres. Obama's fault, and unfortunately you need to spend money to make money; and the country will only be able to see the results of his actions many years and decades after he is out of office.

International trade is necessary for global stability. We got less from the deals because we were far better off than the countries we traded with. To demand more of them at the time would have been viewed as severe exploitation, such as England did to the U.S in early America and countless other countries.

Having China relinquish the exclusion of certain U.S. products from their country is a good thing. Raising tariffs on the products that we import is a good thing. I don't know if his administration can achieve this, in fact I doubt it. But who has done better? What would you do that would fix all this (aside from something idiotic)? I don't like O'Bama and I didn't vote for him, but he has four years to do something good. Better for us if he does.

It's not as though we were doing great in the first place, and Pres. Bush authorized a 700 Billion dollar bail-out. Market fluctuation, mistakes, trade, recession, war, etc. Occur no matter who's President. You can look at any decision of any president at the time they made it, and point out all the potential and immediate negative effects. It doesn't make you a genius, it makes you a scared pussy.

I don't agree with what he is doing, but what do I know? And what do any of you know about how to handle and resolve trade-deficits and public and governmental debt? What do you know about how to handle educating the masses, or how to care for the sick? Everything is far more complicated than it seems, and it's not as bad as it seems. This country has already gone through a depression.

If you think we're somehow going to LITERALLY be owned by the Chinese, then thinking might not really be FOR YOU. Even if we are far surpassed by the Chinese, it's not as though we can't rise up after a fall. Look how much China has risen, and no matter how bad it gets, we're not going to be as bad as China was and kinda' still is.

Be realistic, barring a major catastrophic world war or natural disaster, things won't get that bad. Unemployment isn't Pres. Obama's fault, and unfortunately you need to spend money to make money; and the country will only be able to see the results of his actions many years and decades after he is out of office.

Calm down faceless internet commentators. Vote differently in the coming elections if you're upset with the current administration, leave this country if you truly don't think the system works. And if you feel as though no system in the world works and all individual actions are futile in the face of secret Tyranny (as a result of your own stupidity and blindness to the personal freedoms you actually have) then there's always suicide.

@russle360 Believe it or not, simply claiming that I proved your point with my comments isn't a self-evident statement. As nice as employing a rhetorical mechanism, which feigns revelation of truth or insight, is, it's validity and reasoning is quite shallow and specious. Concise statements are nice, but they are hard to use in unresolvable arguments that can only be more accurately (still not perfectly) appraised by posterity. Concise, ex: "Time is relative" is based on empirical evidence.

@russle360 Whereas "This political party is better than the other" is opinion and therefore subjective, making conclusion impossible. It would be nice if writing concisely and mastering rhetoric proved empirically a persons superior ability to reason, but it doesn't, Nietzsche for example. Language is a tool humans developed. No matter how well one speaks, it doesn't make them infallible or more often correct. I will cut out the sarcasm, I actually want to read your opinion at this point.
