I flew many DC-10's cross country on American Airlines. When introduced AA flew an evening fleet familiarization flight from Syracuse, New York to LaGuardia, NYC (at 10:10pm). Super comfortable and fascinating to fly aboard. Also the BEST engine sounds, I sat in just ahead of the engine on the left side many times. Thanks for posting.

Something has facinated me about the DC-10 since the first time I got to fly on one in 1987 and now it's one of my most privileged accomplishments to be able to pilot one. They are at the end of their journey though and it won't be long before the last US passenger carrying DC-10 is retired but I feel fortuate to have been part of it.
