We piss & moan about stuff we don't have, what the government has not given us, etc. I am worried about the youth of today, parents not being parents, self centered attitudes, its all garbage. And no 1 person DESERVES or is ENTITLED to anything other than freedom.

Granted there are things we CANNOT control, like the price of food which by the way, i'm sure many of you have noticed, companies are reducing the amount of product that is in the packaging, but the price is staying the same, example, Breyers ice cream no longer a half gallon, but same price. Restaurants are doing it too. When I go out with my wife, we usu. split a meal, because the portions are big for us and we save some money. Better than doggie bags that sit in the fridge that's a waste.

Sorry, but I sort of agree with him, the American people are so reliant on Chinese products and welfare, it's disgusting. We are just a nation of complainers, I'm in sales so I know. When gas hit $3.00/gal (I knew it would hit at least $4 by summer '08) I didn't complain, I traded my minivan for a Yaris, now I get almost 40 MPGs if I keep a light foot on the gas (highway MPG that is), then I noticed everyone speeding past me in SUVs at 70 MPH +, and I say to myself, these people are just stupid.

This man has no concept of what it's like to have to decide between paying the electric bill or buying food. He has no clue about how the average American is struggling to survive. Granted, there are some out there who bitch about gas and food prices yet camp in line to buy a new iphone, those people need to be quiet. But the folks who are paying half of their paycheck to OPEC to drive to their walmart jobs, they aren't whiners and they deserve an economy that allows them to live with dignity.

How exactly do we "deserve" an economy that allows us to live with dignity? What did we do to "deserve" anything other then being free? Really, think about it, is it the governments role to provide us with financial stability? That is certainly not in the constitution. Its role to Promote the General Welfare does not mean make sure prices are low, and salaries are high, or even fair. It means to keep the playing field level. Which, I can tell you from 1st hand experience, IT IS.

You do not need money to live with dignity, that is something we all have inside. It is just whether you choose to live with it or without it. I know it is not easy, but the most important things in life seldom are easy. That is why when we overcome the odds we truly feel like free and dignified people. That is why underdog stories, or movies about someone beating the odds are so popular, it gives us that rush, that pride, that ability to say that we have looked difficulty in the face & beat it!
