I was trying to figure that out too. I put in my earbuds to see if I could hear what he was saying any clearer and all it seems to sounds like when he talks is distorted radio static and squeaky grinding metal, etc.? So maybe that's his design of possessed speech like Eileens possesed design cause notice the noise only happens when he starts 'talking' again. "....$!@*#%^@#!$*%^&#$.......*pause*.......$!@*#%^@#!$*%^&#$......*pause*...."
Um this happens sometime after eileen's sacrifice scene and near the final battle it is rare. Scary thing is my sis got this haunting and after that BOOM 21 sacraments ending
I only saw this on my first playthrough, as well as the cat in the fridge. Awesome stuff, I use to love the shoes moving across the kitchen floor too, leaving behind the bloody footprints.
Henry's ghost (aka Victim 21) is the opposite of how he was in life. In life, Henry was a voyeur who never really talked to anyone. As a ghost, he has no eyes and is constantly speaking.
Aaaan this is why I'm too scared to look through peepholes. (See also: Pulse; One Missed Call; and any other horror movie or book that has a frickin' peephole.)
@mzkittyy Later in the game, you must check the peephole when the blood is dripping from a peephole and Henry should appear there and he will mutter, watch up in the ceiling and he will have a face smeared with blood just like you can see in this video. Downright creepy, huh?
has anyone noticed the thing carved on henry's neck? it sorta looks like '21121'? its like 21/21 from the 21 sacraments....... was he whispering something to the living henry?? I can't hear it that well

I think Silent Hill 4 was the scariest because it had more supernatural or paranormal elements in it. This game scares the hell outa me whenever i play late at night in my room. The noises in this game were hair raising
I was going to say the same thing as to why I thought this was a scary/awesome game and I think you hit it right on the head. While everyone else bashes whatever game for whatever reason, I take each game for what it is and then make my decision :) I honestly think they're all good

@87lycanthropy it want that short the 3rd game was the shortest id say the second game is still the best cant wait for this new one to come out tho you play as a prisoner whose probably done acts worse than james so it should be fun to play a game like the second game again hopefully there will be a pyramid head of some kind like in origins or somefin'

Explination: If you get the worst ending, Henry and Eillen die. Dead Henry is there saying "Please help me..." as to warn him about this and to plead with him to get a good ending so he wont die. Either that, or it's the pizza guy.
SH4 had something else going on in it. There were so many psychological intricacies in it. Take, for instance, the Water Prison. It has you go through 3 levels, and none of them have really anything scary, you're basically on a fetch quest, so you're just trying to get through it as fast as you can, running through the hallways. But when you get to the 4th level of the tower, you're running, and around the fucking corner, they place the game's most disturbing enemy. Very fucking clever.
whn the haunting of the door happened i looked through the peephole but i couldnt see henry :( i have the pc version.any explanations,i really want to see this haunting.
oh i also was up for the good ending and i always healed my appartment.
Silent Hill 4 got the horror spot on- they went psychological instead of gore. Blood and guts just isn't scary, but seeing something like this on the other side of the peephole is just disturbing. The bunny also freaked me out.
The first horror game I played on PS2 was Fatal Frame 3. I think It's really effective to have a safe place (normal world) in a horror game, 'cause the more safe you feel there, the less you want to go where creepy stuff is happening. But since I've gotten immune to scary games, it was sadly wasted on me in SH 4. :<
When i saw the blood on the peephole, i was like: "Oh no... they want me to look out, and there`s gonna be something freaky in there. No, im not gonna look out... *after 5 minutes of staring at the door* I guess i can look out a bit..." After that i almost shat myself.
i think this game is scary because it gives you a place to think you are safe in and can have break, but then halfway through the game it gets full of scary shit like this
Sorry, we didn't order any useless things, but we DID order the keys for all these locks and a magic portable door that can get me out of Silent Hill! Now, if you could just slide them through the mail slot...
Although Silent Hill 4's three predecessors had some terrifying instances/rooms/moments, I have to say that Silent Hill 4 had the MOST pant-wetting experiences out of all of them. This, being one of them.
4 was more psychological than the others, i mean they all are but 4 heavily revolved around making you think something would happen or just freaking you out with weird enemies/happenings. 4 was scary, but a differentt type of scary to the other Silent Hills...

@Cooli3T U are soo right about that! heck when I played this I was living in an apartment! Needles to say that was REALLY not smart on my part. Grant it I was living with my best friend but still. We BOTH got creeped out and we never played the game alone! Talk about scaring the hell outta us!

i got this thing happen to me. there was this other one that happened where there was blood on the wall saying "you better check on your neighbour soon" but then i got gameover and didnt save. the weird thing was that the last time i saved was ages ago before that bit but when i got to it again, it wasnt there. Any one know why?

It's more like a random haunting, I think. Just walk near the door everytime you're in the apartment, and when there's blood coming from the peephole (Or it hurts him) look out the peephole.
I really love this game and play it everytime i feel like it again which has been many times now but.. i have never seen any of these hauntings written about here..is there something i'm doing wrong? The only thing i get everytime is the usual stuff..but none of this..
I suppose it just depends on your luck. I played and beaten this game so many times and half of the hauntings I never even got and some I didn't even know about. The only thing I can think of is just go screw around in a world and keep revisiting your house til u get it.
closet. Walter constantly calls the apartment. The pictures Henry has on in his bedroom change to portraits of Walter. The hands on the living room wall clock start spinning. The Tv blasts nothing but static, and wont turn
off. If you put the Shabby Doll in your item chest, (Sucker) screaming babies will appear over the chest. Cracks will emerge from the walls and fill the room with an annoying "Kreeeck" sound.
Just like in the beginning of the game, a ghost will appear from the wall, but not attack. Blood will drip from your peep hole and someone will be banging on the door. Take a look at this. The windows will rattle and make more annoying noises. The chair is bloodied.. Possibly that was the spot where Walter was born? Blood poors from the sink faucet. Your fridge fills with an.. unpleasant.. suprise. The slippers from your front door will go for a walk.
yeah i know - my sis had this game a while ago. funny how we never got most of the hauntings... like the chair. But yeah I knew about the Shabby Doll haunting and I deliberately put it in... now I'm in deep trouble coz i have to carry the stupid thing everywhere... (mainly coz i dunno if it'll "haunt" again if i put it back in the item box)
There's more... the painting of the church in Henry's bedroom becomes "occupied"... eventually lol. The Shabby Doll (if u picked up and placed in storage box) haunts with dead babies in the wall, a shadow boy will appear in Henry's bedside wardrobe/closet, the phone will say "I'm Watching You", cracks will appear on the wall, eventually making worse sounds later on if ya left them (apparently). The floating heads are a non-harming haunting - coz the air in your apartment hasn't become "heavy".
i got it :/ only once tho... the occupation really freaked me out, and stranger still it was my first game. All I was doing was clearing all the hauntings I got, Easy Mode... probably explains why XD
it happens if you take the little doll from walter in the apartment world.. you must put it in the box in your apartment and more ghosts will show up.. it gets harder but very cool...

...It's Henry's birthday, so he invited a...pole dancer...that looked exactly like him.
Afterwords, Henry finally realized that he can't open his front door.
Henry was so sad; that is why the peephole started crying out blood.

i got this thing happen to me. there was this other one that happened where there was blood on the wall saying "you better check on your neighbour soon" but then i got gameover and didnt save. the weird thing was that the last time i saved was ages ago before that bit but when i got to it again, it wasnt there. Any one know why?

It's more like a random haunting, I think. Just walk near the door everytime you're in the apartment, and when there's blood coming from the peephole (Or it hurts him) look out the peephole.

I really love this game and play it everytime i feel like it again which has been many times now but.. i have never seen any of these hauntings written about here..is there something i'm doing wrong? The only thing i get everytime is the usual stuff..but none of this..

I suppose it just depends on your luck. I played and beaten this game so many times and half of the hauntings I never even got and some I didn't even know about. The only thing I can think of is just go screw around in a world and keep revisiting your house til u get it.

I could never get this haunting and I was really disappointed.
Although I did have fun watching my sister freaking out when the heads started floating up and down the window! lol

A boy's shadow will appear in the bedroom
closet. Walter constantly calls the apartment. The pictures Henry has on in his bedroom change to portraits of Walter. The hands on the living room wall clock start spinning. The Tv blasts nothing but static, and wont turn
off. If you put the Shabby Doll in your item chest, (Sucker) screaming babies will appear over the chest. Cracks will emerge from the walls and fill the room with an annoying "Kreeeck" sound.

Just like in the beginning of the game, a ghost will appear from the wall, but not attack. Blood will drip from your peep hole and someone will be banging on the door. Take a look at this. The windows will rattle and make more annoying noises. The chair is bloodied.. Possibly that was the spot where Walter was born? Blood poors from the sink faucet. Your fridge fills with an.. unpleasant.. suprise. The slippers from your front door will go for a walk.

yeah i know - my sis had this game a while ago. funny how we never got most of the hauntings... like the chair. But yeah I knew about the Shabby Doll haunting and I deliberately put it in... now I'm in deep trouble coz i have to carry the stupid thing everywhere... (mainly coz i dunno if it'll "haunt" again if i put it back in the item box)

There's more... the painting of the church in Henry's bedroom becomes "occupied"... eventually lol. The Shabby Doll (if u picked up and placed in storage box) haunts with dead babies in the wall, a shadow boy will appear in Henry's bedside wardrobe/closet, the phone will say "I'm Watching You", cracks will appear on the wall, eventually making worse sounds later on if ya left them (apparently). The floating heads are a non-harming haunting - coz the air in your apartment hasn't become "heavy".

i got it :/ only once tho... the occupation really freaked me out, and stranger still it was my first game. All I was doing was clearing all the hauntings I got, Easy Mode... probably explains why XD

it happens if you take the little doll from walter in the apartment world.. you must put it in the box in your apartment and more ghosts will show up.. it gets harder but very cool...
