  • whats the biggest wrestling ppv buy of all time?

  • if im correct, wasnt Monty Brown going to get a main event push on the ecw brand before he left?

  • MAYBE MORRISON/JARRETT SHOULD HAVE A LIL' BIT OF A "JOHNNY'S GETTING INSIDE JEFF'S MIND"/"THE MORRISONS/HENNIGANS/WHATEVERS GETTING INSIDE THE JARRETTS MINDS" SCENARIO...W/ ANGLE GETTING INVOLVED HERE/THER...AS WELL AS MAYBE...MAYBE...JERRY JARRETT

  • AJ Styles and Samoa Joe to WWE,

    Styles/Morrison would be fucking beautiful

Samoa Joe in the main event

seeing that TNA have done nothing with them

  • hey guys what about jeff jarret with that horrible jericho and chyna co ic champ thing jumped to wcw and was world champion and doing the guitar shots and that god awful nwo 2000 deal with bret hart and the outsiders when he was the us champ had he stayed i think he couldve been at least a contender when wcw was still good.

  • i think lawrence was right about morrison...it seems that wwe doesnt want him w/ either the wwe &/or world title(s)...but...id also want him 2 be in tna,as well...maybe as the guy who helps destroy immortal/4tune...a well as take the tna title from jeff hardy...or try 2 bring the x title back 2 prominence of some sort...if not...maybe him & cornette in roh would rule...&/or him going 2 different japanese groups as a "freelancer"...hopefully wwe will wake up asap b4-hand...

  • huuuuuuuuuuge~

  • I've gotta say it. Mike Awesome jumping from ECW to WCW. At first It was exciting because he came in still as the ECW champion and started attacking the big-name guys, like Kevin Nash, Hulk Hogan, etc. but then they gave him that shitty 70's gimmick and it all went downhill.

  • Jericho to WWF in 2000 was electric

  • When you speak of bad ship jumps you must mention Dusty Rhodes going to the WWF in 1989. That was terrible to watch.

  • @cottontalk Good call!

    -E, Wrestling Roundtable

  • @WrestlingRoundtable Here would a good ship jump Picture this: "Hogan beats Savage at WM V everyone rejoices then on the next Saturday Night's Main Event all of a sudden you see Barry Windham come from the ground then you hear 'theme from 2001 Flair comes out in a three piece suit and then you see Tully and Arn join them the IV Horsemen come into WWE to destroy Hulkamania" Reason being wasn't in 89 the Horsemen weren't gelling with the new management?

  • @Sweetguy9009 Perhaps, but Flair was also Mr. NWA in 89, starting with the Steamboat series going in to the Funk feud, which lasted the entire rest of the year and also involved Sting & Muta, so in all likelihood he'd have stayed, but all the same, the idea of Horsemen Vs. Hogan in 89 is definitely an exciting idea!

    -E, Wrestling Roundtable

  • @WrestlingRoundtable I agree Flair was Mr. NWA in 1989 and Flair even states that that was maybe his best run in his pro wrestling in ring career ever. But I despise the idea that that idiot Jim Herd thought Flair was getting too old or too slow when he was having his best run.

  • @cottontalk He did make it work though, at least for the position given to him. I'd say he did better than Ronnie Garvin did

  • my bad still a pretty bad jump though

  • how bout Brutus the barber beef cake to wcw at least he held the i.c strap but the booty man really?

  • @wsp60 Beefcake never won a title in the WWF.

    -E, Wrestling Roundtable

  • @wsp60 Beefcake and Valentine were WWF tag champions, and they lost to the Bulldogs at WM 2. He was set to be IC champ, but of course the parasailing accident changed all that, hence Warrior winning at SS 88 over Honky Tonk.

  • @patg316 You're right, I forgot the Dream Team. Thanks & my apologies.

    -E, Wrestling Roundtable

  • Monty Brown=the most deserving of a run as nwa world heavyweight champion in tna. plain and simple.

  • @TheMasterSword16 uh yeah totally but I think you mean TNA World Title. TNA hasn't had the nwa world title since slammaversary 2006 or 2007. When ever Kurt first won his first TNA title, since he was the first TNA world champion.

  • @keh678 i think when Brown left they still had the NWA world title. i just found it weird how everyone who challenged Jeff Jarrett as NWA champ could never seem to beat him, at yet Christian was able to do it on first try in just four months or so. besides about three of Jarrett's title runs, Christian's were the ones that pissed me off the most. Seriously, someone like me who has no business experience could have done a better job.

  • the thing that would/should/could suck about morrison in tna/roh/"monkey-strangling..."has gotta be the "intellectual-property" deal...just-in-case of-such...he could/should/would be changing his name 2 "john(ny) derringer" 7/or something...hopefully they wont make it into an "austin starr"-style/esque scenerio!!!...

  • Monty Brown could try Ring of Honor since TNA and WWE failed with him

  • WWF did not fail with Monty Brown as they got him more over and used him better than TNA ever did, but Monty had to retire from WWF on good terms because his sister died and he needed to be home to take care of her kids he inherited. Angle did not jump ship to TNA, he was fired by McMahon for refusing company paid drug rehabilitation since Angle is a drug addict. Nobody who jumped ship from WWF to WCW helped themselves long term and at best just got short term money from it. Jericho = best jump

  • I have no idea in what universe WWE 1. Got Monty Brown more over than TNA or 2. Used him better. Really.

And I'm sure Hulk Hogan, Scott Hall, Kevin Nash, Sean Waltman, The Steiners, Lex Luger, etc.'s bank accounts all would agree jumping (back) to WCW was best for them in the long term.

    -E, Wrestling Roundtable

  • Monty Brown was never trained to work in TNA and he was getting a huge ego, which is why TNA cut off his push, so WWF had to rebuild him from scratch. Brown was learning to actually work and getting over on th C show and then he had to retire for his family. Hogan, Hall, and Waltman were all fired by McMahon, so they did not really jump to WCW. Luger and Rick Steiner burned their bridges with WWF to be WCW mid carders again and Diesel vs McMahon could have been Austin vs McMahon if Nash stayed

  • @MRobert21 The idea that Monty Brown wasn't trained, seemingly at all, until he got to WWE is ridiculous. Anyway, Hogan was fired by the WWF, sure....in like 1980. 1993? He left. Just as he did in 92. Luger burned his bridge to be a midcarder in WCW? How exactly is being put in a main-event level program with Hogan immediately, winning multiple world titles in multiple main events, being a 'midcarder?'

    -E, Wrestling Roundtable

  • @WrestlingRoundtable LOL@first response about Monty Brown. For the second one I guess it depends. I mean, does it count that Lex Luger and The Steiners went BACK to WCW after coming from there originally? I think when you talk about ship jumps it should be centered around when they left the first time because that's always more shocking. MRobert's only good point was that Jericho jumping should have been included

  • @fundyspokerblog Sure it counts(going BACK to company).

    -E, Wrestling Roundtable

  • another thing about morrison going-2-tna would be this...maybe some1 like miz joining him 2 re-form "miz-&-morrison"/"the dirt sheet duo"/"THE 'IN-CROWD'"...maybe tna would/should/could form an alliance w/ MORE japanese groups (i.e/e.g. ddt/hustle/dragon gate)...m-&-m forms ana alliance w angelina love & FINALLY/TOTALLY legitimize(s) ddt's "jiyugaoka 6-person"(tag [team]) title(s) not only in tna,but WORLD-M'R-F'N'-WIDE!!!!!!!!!!...

  • id like the panels opinion on the Raven Saturn fall brawl 98 match I thought it was great it couldve been good without the kidman vs flock interference and lodi being pretyy much useless but I thought that match proved how great of a us title rivalry couldve been had it been for the belt (i think it was) but i think it proves how good Raven and Saturn were in WCW especially.

  • i tink angle saved himself by going to tna.putting him in this fake "ecw",and making him job to orton?GTFO.

  • Jericho from WCW to WWE

  • are maxx & alex payne REALLY related...being that theyre BOTH from iowa(i think theyre BOTH from IA)!!!!!...it was mentioned on another WR (best/worst "hardcore",i also think it was on that 1,as well)!!!

  • You are completely right about the montey brown thing, I have always been a wwe fan and I flipped to TNA the first time i heard it was on and I saw the pounce and he became one of my favorite wrestlers to watch, but then when he came to the wwe he played more of a lacky in a feud with the ecw originals, I really wanted to see him succeed over there.

  • To the panel: I still think a badly-missed opportunity was when the Radicalz came over from WCW; seems to me there was a great opportunity to start a feud with D-Generation X, as it seems like it would have been a huge rivalry without a whole lot of build-up. Imagine the match-ups that could have taken place under a Radicalz/DX feud storyline (with Radicalz being some kind of outsider/half-face/half-[likeable) heel, since DX was heel at the time. Was this a blown opportunity by WWF/WWE?

  • No the Radicals were in no way a blown opportunity by the WWF as they were used perfectly. WWF was over loaded on the face side and needed quality heels on the upper mid card, which is what the Radicals did. Guerrero broke his elbow in his first WWF match (he was also drugged out) and Malenko was not long for the ring because he wanted to retire and move back stage, so those are things WWF had no control over. Saturn screwed himself by being a head case and Benoit was always pushed (to much).

  • Would you have had a different opinion had the Radicalz come over, say, three or four years sooner? Or could there have ever been a DX/Radicalz rivalry between the groups?

  • The Radicals would never have worked 3 or 4 years earlier because none of those guys had the national exposure at that time WCW gave them. WWF was way more political 3 or 4 years earlier too with the cliques, so the Radicals would have been really buried then. Maybe a year or 2 earlier there could have been a DX / Radicals feud on the mid card as part of gang warfare with DOA, NOD, Boriquas, etc. Unlike TNA / WCW, WWF has always been smart making their own stars with others to compliment them

  • @2themoon Judging by 1. the huge response all 4 got when they showed up on RAW, and 2. How badly they blew that almost immediately, I'd say yes, it was a huge blown opportunity, heh.

    -E, Wrestling Roundtable

  • maybe morrison should go 2 tna &/or roh (like lawrence pointed-out)...id like 2 see him as x-division champ (at-1st)...then taking-on aj 4 the world belt...LET THE AIR RAID WARNINGS COMMENCE!!!!!...maybe title-V-title!!!

  • saturn from wcw to wwf bad paul london to tna return would be good

  • i also actually remember savage's 1st wcw saturday night match-V-double a(rn anderson)...4 whe wcw tv title...& ACTUALLY wanting savage 2 win the tv title...at the time,i thought that wouldve been awesome...of course,i was in my teens then,so i was a tad naive then,as well

  • maybe morrison/matt hardy/danielson/mcguiness (&/or lance hoyt[/vance archer])...either way...still...thats just me

  • personally i like mvp and teddy dibiase...maybe ziggles...mine would be morrison/nigel mcguiness/danielson/vance archer (&/or lance hoyt...which i think should be the name he should use in wwecw...but thats just me)...like i said,...thats just me

  • to the guys at the roundtable...if wwecw EVER decides (hypothetically) 2 create a new (4) horsemen...of the guys currently in wwecw...who'd be in this version...i repeat hypothetically...whod be in the wwecw's horsemen...of the current wwecw horsemen...

  • When I think of the Horsemen I think of excellency and excess, crediblity and the ability to "wear the suit". That being said, here are my four horsemen for the new millenium: Ted Dibiase, Mike Knox, Ziggler and the leader for the new millenium...MVP

Obviously you'd need an obscene amount of build up to get this to make sense. Dibiase, much like Tully has the pedigree. Knox is the bully/enforcer. Ziggles is obnoxious but brash. And fianlly, MVP styles and profiles.

  • There's a lot of jumping ship that were only great on the first night.

  • Love the discussion..."Assuming they know what to do with them" is basically giving too much credit to WWE. We've said before that they've been terrible with most of the writing the last 5 yrs. This is a broad statement, but if everyone went to what is best-suited for their style. Mysterio has watered due to injuries but also b/c of WWE being afraid to take too many chances. I agree 100% about Benjamin...Side note: it does no good to jump to TNA right now b/c they dont have their s* together...

  • Benjamin to TNA would be go awesome, he'd need to lose the bleched hair though. I dunno I always loved the Jericho debut on Raw (1st time) even though he didn't do alot after that. Back during the Monday Night Wars, I think that having The Rock show up on Nitro...would have been infuckingsane. Also I agree about "seasoning" Morrison some more. Oh yeah Angle to TNA was very surreal, since he was like their biggest star.

  • the problem is that anyone that goes to wwe from tna, unless they were in wwe before will be buried.....Joe, hernandez, aj,would all be buried because they were competition.

The biggest thing that could happen to tna right now, is rey mysterio....it would be perfect because of the demographic, and the fact that he's fed up with wwe as of late anyways

  • Benjeman to TNA I agree in fact I was just saying that to a friend of mine the other day. I hate what WWE is doing to killings. He could be great and I am afraid there jobing him to much. Lastly I really thought Vader moving to WWE was awesome myself too. vader was WCW's top heel not to long ago. And he made an awesome debut.

  • the brian pillman jump 2 ecw an he cut a pretty kool promo was a good one. the radicalz jump didnt work out 4 dean malenko an saturn.

  • JERICHO!

  • Best ship jump moment for me... Jeff Hardy on TNA wrestling. Thats the best way a surprise new talent making their debut could've worked out. Only thing left for him to do was win the x-division championship. Crowd was so into it that night as well for both Jeff and AJ styles.

  • While I hesitate to mention this person for one of wrestling's best ship jumps. It was definitely best for his career in the long run.........Big Show.

He was the first WCW guy to go to the WWF, right when the Rock and HHH were getting hot. Big Show really saved himself from being a footnote in wrestling history and made him a ton of money.

  • yes, i totally agree with you... Big Show and Chris Jericho saved themselves by leaving wcw when they did...

  • What about Mike Awesome from ECW to WCW?

  • and ofcourse the worst is brets

  • best jump ship probaly Y2J i know its an obvious one but they were using him so bad in WCW even when he was gettin so much heat and over the wcw office just didnt care and wwf got him at the perfect time

  • hey wrestling roundtable, what do you think of Joe's heel turn at Slammiversary?

  • i thought is was a classic attitude era style heel turn, and was legititmately shocked. great promoting at the right time. as far as i feel it was the best PPV turn i've seen in a long time and my favorite show of '09 so far. go tna

  • i agree, goes right up there with Austin's at WrestleMania 17. hopefully TNA has better luck.

  • worst jump of all time was bret hart *sniff*

best jump of all time was.....hogan to wwf.

  • Edge/Matt would've been bigger after four years? That makes less than zero sense. But then, I guess there's that famous expression, "strike four years after the iron is hot." So, touche....

  • You're right, it made a lot more sense to bring him back right then and squash him immediately like they did. They did record numbers that way after all, right? And we all know how well Angle/Joe turned out when TNA "struck while the iron was hot" instead of giving fans the slow burn they wanted. Afterall, WCW didn't do their biggest ppv buyrate ever at Starrcade 97 by giving Hogan/Sting a year and a half of hype, did they? Sorry for being so stupid.

    TOUCHE

    -E, Wrestling Roundtable

  • All of the other angles you mentioned were, you know, *angles*. There's the difference. Also, I think I sensed some sarcasm....

  • What's the fucking difference? What do you think Edge/Matt Hardy was? Giving the sarcasm back as you're sending it out, smart ass

    -E, Wrestling Roundtable

  • Why so hostile? I LIKE your show. My point was, only the diehard dirtsheet-readers would've been excited about Edge/Matt if were put off for this long. Shit, Lita hasn't even been in the company for nearly three years; people who've just started watching since then (Cena fans) wouldn't even know what the hell's going on, y'know? Mostly, long-term angles ARE better. Not always. Grassroots movements like the Matt thing have a history of fizzling out quickly if not acted upon.

  • That's better. Had you said that from the beginning, I wouldn't have been so hostile. As it was, you just condescendingly made my idea out to be retarded. Now that we're beyond that, I understand your point but mainly only about Lita. I still think, even with Lita long gone, that if Matt had come back now people would be really jacked to see that match. Matt's grassroots thing was pretty lame, but fans like him & he'd probably have a bigger role in a money feud like that. I think they blew it

    -E

  • I think they blew it by 1. doing it so soon 2. treating Matt like such a bitch in the whole thing. I believe had he had a run in TNA, they'd probably have made him a main event level top star, and since we know they pre-determined Edge to be just that since then, he'd be coming back to get revenge probably a main event because I think they'd be more likely to push him that way to get their 'dream angle' & their current fanbase I think's been watching a few years so they'd still be in to it.

    -E

  • Sorry that I initially presumed a friendly vibe that had never actually been established. You know how sometimes you get used to watching or reading someone to the point that you feel no need for formality? Not like on a "I feel like I KNOW Chandler/Costanza/Paris/Spock" level of sad, but... Anyway, don't forget that Matt won their cage match at Unforgiven '05. And personally, I don't think V1 SHOULD be a top guy. His mic work has always been atrocious up til four months ago, wouldn't you say?

  • Also, the moment they blew it was as soon as Vince McMahon officially welcomed Matt back, and Matt SHOOK HIS HAND! "Thanks, Mr. McMahon..." A complete 180 from everything that had gotten the fans behind the guy!

  • haha, haha, well, as I said in the video I don't like the guy at all. I don't like his brother, at ALL, either but fact is both guys are over(Jeff more so, obviously) and people cheer them & pay to see them(again, Jeff much more so), so there was a real shot there of doing a lot more with him. And yes, he won that one match..out of what, 5? heh, he looked like such a loser before & after that, like in their "Loser is banished to Smackdown match" ha right afterwards. I still think he sucks btw

    -E

  • Yeah, Matt lost because of Litaference and got shipped to SD, but you can't underestimate the power of sympathy when it comes to getting somebody over. There are just some guys whose niche is being the lovable loser. Tommy Dreamer made an entire career out of this. Also, as much as Matt has improved in the past year and a half, Jeff has improved at an incredible rate. I dig the guy more now than I did when I was a fifteen-year-old Hardy Boyz mark. Of course, if he beats Punk on Sunday, fuck him.

  • I think as fans of this sport/theater show that we call pro wrestling, to see Ric Flair and Hollywood Hogan in the same frame on our TV sets. I will tell you something my mind was blown because like it or not Hogan and Flair will always be on the top ten greatest performers in pro wrestling history. Granted WWE totally messed up not putting them on Wrestlemania VIII for the WWE Title or a SummerSlam, but I think we all agree our minds as fans were blown to see Hogan and Flair on WWE TV!

  • Comment removed

  • i agree with you on that philosophy. the slow build-up usually works out better.

  • I totally forgot how ridiculously AWFUL Shane Douglas's jump from ECW to WWE was...and Farrooq in the gladiator uniform is thankfully forgotten....WCW completely botching Bret Hart's jump in late-'97 sealed their fate in my book

  • Monty Brown can make a comeback I believe but I was so excited. He can still take off in the WWE, he is welcomed back anytime. What about Marc Mero??

  • I just wanted to say I really enjoy your videos. Keep em coming. Here is one topic I would like to be discussed. Who deserved a WWF/E Championship title run. But never got it. My choices are

    1. British Bulldog

    2. Owen Hart

    3. Rowdy Roddy Piper

    4. Jake the Snake

    5. Ted Dibase

    6. Mr. Perfect

  • hey guys what do u think of the Ultimate Warrior appearing in WCW in 1998??

  • lex luger when he was on raw and nitro at the same time !!!!!!!!!!!

  • and ofcourse brett

  • good jump ship.

guerrero him that we do not speak of to wwe. y2j to wwe. big show to wwe.

bad raven to wcw from ecw. mike awesome to wcw from ecw. thats all i can think of of the top of my head

  • lol at the 'huuuuuge' by sugarfoot. nice editing

  • 8:55 as much as having Matt go to TNA sounds like a fine idea, I doubt it would make him look even better when he comes back in 2009. Look at Christian. How long will the WWE lag on having Edge and Christian reunion? People were begging for it for a long time!

I also doubt TNA would make Matt Hardy a "big star" because he is obviously nowhere as popular as Jeff, and they probably would care less about him upon acquisition.

  • Was WCW the first and only company to have Flair and Hogan wrestle for the title?

  • a bit off topic, but i hope you guys to a tribute for misawa.

  • How bout tomko returning to wwe at least he was getting pushed in Tna

  • you forgot to mention Chris Harris, or should i say Braden Walker as worst ship jumps.

  • Jericho jumping to WWF in 99 was huge. The reaction he got that night was so loud i had goosebumps. The Outsiders going to WCW in 96 was also a huge shocker for me. From 96-01 was a great time to be a wrestling fan. The worst jump had to be the Public Enemy going to WWF back in 98. Holycrap did they get buried over there.

  • dont forget scott stiener in 2002 to 2004 in the wwe

  • Worst ship jump has to be Alex Payne from ROH to Wrestling Roundtable :)

I kid of course, another great discussion guys, thanks for giving wrestling fans a better name

  • Here's a good ship jump!

The Rock to Hollywood!! Sure, he isn't in the best acting roles, but they are decent acting roles. XD

  • HBK is pure shit, he would have NEVER been in Nwo. He had to wait for Hulk to be done with NWO to barely get a sniff at how cool that faction was.

  • @milincoln Are you on crack? HBK would certainly have been in nWo considering the kliq comprised of Michaels, Hall, Nash, Waltman and HHH.

  • Might sound a bit odd but if you look at it from the angle what was the best jump for the wrestler personally what about The Big Bossman's jump to the WWE in 1998.

He went from being a forgotten jobber in WCW to being placed into the hottest Wrestling feud of the decade in Austin Vs Vince so the guy himself must have been delighted.

I admit it's an odd one but I'm trying to think outside the box.

  • @Ruud012003 You're right. Bossman was never a Austin or Hogan-esque star, but he was one of the most recognizable faces and names that jumped back and forth between the WWF and WCW in the 90s. After his first run in the WWF though, many still considered him 'the Bosman' despite going under a few other gimmicks in WCW (even returning to his original NWA Big Bubba gimmick). I personally was a Bossman fan so I was very excited when he returned that to the WWF that night as McMahon's bodyguard

  • @The80srox ***returned to the WWF that night

  • I think Christian from TNA to WWE was a bad jump. He was already world champion and (correct me if I am wrong) respected in TNA. Although I am glad the WWE didn't push him (because they never did for R-Truth) but of all the titles he won, wtf ECW??? I.C. would've been a shit load a lot better.

That's another guy, R-Truth, a former World Champion, back in the midcard in the WWE like years ago. At least he adn Shelton had a good feud, but R-Truth is STILL not a champion of anything WWE!!

  • If you watch ECW, Christian is getting pushes into interesting storylines, is bringing credibility to ECW, and gets to wrestle longer TV matches and have more promo freedom.

And R-Truth sucks in the ring. Apparently, they have to heavily edit all of his matches on Smackdown because he botches so much. They say he can't wrestle a basic match. But I will admit he surprised me with his promo ability last week.

  • XD 2:28

Once again, very educational discussion about the ship jumps. Honestly, if the WWE cannot used Shelton Benjamin, and TNA cannot use Monty Brown...I think Shelton's better off "jumping ship" to UFC even though he might get "destroyed" in the welterweight/lightheavyweight division. Maybe if he's lucky he can once again train with Brock but that's just a dumb theory of mine....

  • I don't know why you assume that Benjamin can just switch, or if he even wants to. It really makes no sense.

  • agree with most

The Radicalz should haven been there

    Jericho to WWE was huge

    worst

    Warrior to WCW

    Goldberg to WWE

    Russo to WCW

Shannon Moore's 2minutes in TNA, gets a program set up for him and AJ and then jumps back a week later for ECW

  • Chris Jericho's jump to WWF in 1999 was awesome...and I really marked out when Tazz walked out in WWF colours at the 2000 Royal Rumble...

Worst jump - probably Bret Hart going to WCW in terms of messing it up.

  • luger jumping to wcw actually started the monday night wars. he was on a wwf ppv on sunday, then on nitro on monday.

  • Great Show guys but i wanted to know to you guys collect any kind of Wrestling merchandise ? i do and i was just curious if u guys did thanx

  • It was criminal how underutilized Colt Cabana was in WWE. Just to get more national exposure, I'd like to see him in TNA at least. Plus, I have been thinking about this for some time now, how F'N huge would Cena jumping ship to TNA be?

  • Goldberg to wwe was insane for a few months. then it sucked. Raven to wwe and wcw was horrible. I'd like to see morrison, kennady, eddie fatu, matt sydel, kendrick, ezikiel, regal, matt hardy, finlay, shelton, haas, noble, kozlov, helms, mickie james, boogieman, chavo, punk to TNA, ROH, & Japan or Mexico. No one should go to wwe unless they want boring moves, constant, continous, endless daily appearences on television and sacrificing your dignity, potential & skill for the praise of children !

  • well said that man ,i was about to say the same thing and you did it for me!!!! thanks

  • Glad I can help!

  • how much is the wrestling roundtable shirt

  • Kurt Angle to TNA initialy it was very surprising and awesome

  • Ric Flair?! he is a lying hypocite like Y2J said! all is true like those washed up so called "legends"! U guys talk about loser wrestlers! Talk about REAL buisness like Randy Orton, Chris Jericho, Edge, and Jack Swagger!

  • wow you guys are working quick i'm very thankful i've been at home sick the last three days and you guys have given me some good entertainent.

  • great shout with the kendrick and shelton!!

  • in all fairness, wwe released monty brown because he requested it because his sister died and he started to take care of his sisters children

  • I got to say Y2J Chris Jericho was great the way they brought him in right away with The Rock

Also The Radicalz with Benoit,Guerrero,Saturn & Malenko was great

  • Madusa dumping the belt was fun. The Steiners going to the WWe was a waist. The best tag team in the world goes to your promotion and never gets a world title run? \

  • i thought cristians jum from tna back to the wwe was a load of crap expecially puttin him on ecw right away, and i know this will never probably happen but imagine triple h gettin a real divorce frm steph and den joins tna right away and cuts a hugh shoot towards vince mcmahon tht would be so cool. and it be even better to have big nose job to guys like sharkboy and cody deaner lol

  • to me, i hated when jeff left tna and came back to wwe... mainly because i rarely watch tna and i hate seeing him on tna. i also wish rey would go to tna since i cant stand him

  • best: hogan to wwf in 1983, jericho to wwf in 99, outsiders to wcw in 96, austin to wwf after the first year.

worst: marty janetty among others to wcw

    goldberg to wwe

  • best: Hall, Nash, and Luger to WCW plus Y2J; L.O.D. TO WWE; Angle to TNA

worst: Hart to WCW and Warrior to WCW OR WWE

  • excuse me Y2J and L.O.D. to WWE.

  • damn good show

  • Never thought of Matt Hardy doing that, him v. Edge now or a hardy reunion now, would be amazing...now, each have been done to the bone...but I'd still like Sting over any ship jump to happen, Joe a close second, but Sting in a WWE ring is something I want to see more than anything in the wrestling world, maybe a Jan-Mania run..who knows,,great show

  • definitely Jericho jumping from WCW to WWE was GREAT....all the weeks of promos and fans not knowing who was gonna debut when the countdown reached zero--then having him interrupt the Rock's interview time was wonderful

  • Best: Hall & Nash going to WCW.

    2nd best: Hogan to WWF.

    3rd best: Hogan to WCW

Worst: Bret Hart going to WCW, just because they misused him and we never got a real Hart vs. Hogan match.

2nd worst: Ultimate Warrior going to WCW in 1998.

3rd worst: Not really a jump but Vince firing Bischoff in the early 90s which allowed him to go to WCW and almost put the WWF out of business a few years later.

Jump that I'd like to see happen: Austin going to TNA. Would rival Hogan's jump to WCW.

  • best ship jump.....Y2J because he actually did something...and the worst.......THE N.W.O. going 2 the WWF that sucked ass i know thats not a ship jump. but it did suck ass!!!!

  • chris harris ship jump from tna to wwe was a complete waste

  • Comment removed

  • What about the radicalz to wwf? nice show.

  • The Radicalz as a group didnt really do anything. Eddie and Benoit on the other hand...

  • Can anyone tell me when Shane Douglas wrestled on TNA?I turned it on last thursday and I saw his ass on there,I was like what the fuck.

  • he started back up a couple weeks ago.

  • Im kinda surpriced that you didn't mentioned Angle...

I think it was great, some people think it sucked, but I think that should have get some mention...

    Great show once more...

  • I was going to say Angle... I jumped outta my seat when he came out the first time.

he can wrestle with a lot more freedom, well before, not so much now

  • What about Jeff jarrett going to wcw in 1999 the night after no mercy beating up buff bagwell's lazy ass goig against la parka and saying "hey buff I got your stroke right here" Come on.

  • One of the worst jumps was Taz from ECW to the WWF. All they used him for was the Hardcore championship.

  • He got injured before he could do any thing of value, couldn't be helped

  • I would say it wasn't the best, but one of the worst?!

His symbol popping up on the titantron before random matches was a nice touch. I didn't recognize it until the 2000 RR. AND he (unofficially) ended Kurt's undefeated streak.

I would say that was a good ship jump

  • I agree when he first debuted it was cool but in the long run he didn't really amount to anything other than a pretty good announcer.

  • I liked how the crowd popped in MSG.

I liked the idea, I just wished they pushed him instead of doing nothing with him.

  • RIP Misuharu Misawa, Just learned that he passed away after taking backdrop in the ring & apparent heart attack. One of best wrestlers ever.

  • WHAT?!?!?! No way...

    Man...that sucks...

  • I think Brown had family issies to deal with .

And Joe needs to lose pounds .He is fat and nasty.

  • Another recent big jump was Keiji Mutoh leaving New Japan for All Japan.

  • rofl i forgot about dean douglas, and yea he was a real pos..

  • One of the worst ship jumps I think was Bret Hart going to WCW. Even with US and World title reigns, dude was underused at times after all the money spent to get Hart. To think, so many believed that the hitman switching teams would kill WWE but look at what happened. Im' just saying.

  • vince and bret had it planned from the start when you are as good as bret hart he knew what he was doing.;o)

  • The whole All Japan to NOAH thing was a great jump ship. Misawa may rest in peace.

  • Best: Jericho, Austin, Hall and Nash, Dudleys, xpac, would taka michinoku count?

Worst: Bret, Medusa, Taz, Public Enemy's last run in WCW, DDP, Foley to tna, k kwik,

  • I loved seeing the Radicalz jump over to WWE. That was exciting until they got misused over the course of a few weeks.

  • well in the case of monty brown BOTH tna and wwe dropped the ball. when tna should put the belt on brown when he was red hot they didn't and in wwe when he was gettin over with burke they didn't like that because he wasn't a "wwe creation" so bascially he got screwed by both jeff jarrett and vince mcmahon

  • how about mike awesome from ecw to wcw

  • I can't believe you didn't say Wildcat Chris Harris from TNA to WWE. The worst EVER hands down.

  • Woah Luger has lost weight or you must be weighing in at about 250 pounds.

  • lugar almost died thats why

  • I'd love to see AJ Styles burst through the crowd on Smackdown, and flying forearm Edge after Edge'd lost a match. With the classic commentary trope of "Is that!?" "Oh my gawd it's AJ Styles!" That would be one of the best ship jumps in years.

  • That sounds interesting, it would be cool.

  • Problem being 80% of Smackdown's audience wouldn't know who the hell AJ is. Not only would they look him up, find out about TNA, and tune in to that; they'd also wonder why this guy with zero credibility is in the main event.

If TNA where bigger it would have the potential to be comparible to Jericho's jump to WWF though.

  • What sucked about Monty Brown is that he had about three world title opportunities stored up storyline wise in TNA. Plus, it would've been a unique star that they created.

    I loved the Pooooouuuuuuuuunnccceee...period.
