What a lovely Tribute.. I can feel their through the Pictures! Olive was the one who kept it all together a Mother the Matriarch of the Family sooooooooooo important in this Life to stick together..
Excellent choice of song and singer!! This is one of Collins most meaningful but for my mom's funeral, I chose "She's gonna fly" because of her long bout with alzheimers. She'll be gone 4 years this coming week. I was holding her hand when she took her last breath.
I'm so very sorry for your loss. I lost my mom almost a year and a half ago (very suddenly)., so I know what you're going through ... and my dad's in the advance stages of Alzheimer's himself
Thank you for your note and I would like to offer my condolences to you as well. No matter how long, the type of death or anything, when it is your parents, it is one of the hardest things you will ever have to go through. Your situation sounds SO similar to mine. I'm sending a hug your way! I was 36, only 6 days from 37 when my dad died, so his funeral was 3 days before my birthday. Needless to say, not a very happy birthday. Life as I knew it was forever changed. 13 years later and still bad.
I only wish i had the pleasure of metting these fine folks. I'm sure that George and Olive are together again in heaven. They certainly did their work on earth and raised wonderful children!
@rubbing2001 I feel blessed because I DID meet them at the Mormon Church in Exhibition Road, London in (I think) 1987. It was George who explained about Joseph Smith and explained about the pictures on the walls as he walked round with me. Olive did the same for my sister and her friend who are 2 years older than me. Both George and Olive were warm caring people. God rest their souls.
I met Mother and Father Osmond MANY years ago (when I also met Alan, Wayne, Merrill, Jay, Donny, Jimmy & Marie). I got their autographs and spoke with them on several occasions. Gracious, lovely people. I miss them a great deal.
familygal70 .. I'm sorry for your loss. You'll be in my prayers. May you find peace and comfort in your memories. It will take time, I know; I've been there too. Hugs of comfort to you and your family.
Yeah, it's tough (and gets REALLY tough at times), but we're doing good..my siblings and I have always been close, but this even brought us closer; thank you again for your prayers and support; they're truly helping, I believe
So sorry for your loss. You'll be in my prayers during this time of mourning. May you find peace and comfort with your memories. It will take time. Be blessed.
i salute this family, they ´re an inspiration and a role model for all of us despite the fame they had the spirit of a family was their priority, they love and support one another. full credits are for their parents they raised their children well. they will always be remembered. god be with them
OMG I'm crying like a baby. This is one of the most beautiful and moving tributes to the Osmond Family I have ever seen. I love all the photos of each individual family - just beautiful. The photo's at 2.43 with Jimmy cradling his fathers face and 3.26 Marie's sad face and Wayne and Alan hugging are so touching they made me sob harder.
Cheers for sharing this OH and I love the song you chose - so beautiful. I think I'll go get a tissue now (weep)
