Bottom LINE DIRK OR NOT the Spurs were going to beat anyone that year after they beat LA, Dallas won game one one a huge comeback, game two was a blowout and game three was all SA, then Dirk got HURT, they were up 2-1 basically when he got hurt. They blew some games, but they were the best.
The Nets who were beating the gritty Pistons teams and went to the finals two years in a row? The Spurs dethroned the 3 time CHAMPION LAKERS, the THREE TIME Lakers which no OTHER team could seem to come close to or even dream of at that time. That Spurs team was fukkin deep as hell, sleep all you want to but look at the roster, they were young talented and very deep and had grit. Like I said nobody was fukkin with SA that year, period.

Spurs had that down lost post game that would have pulled it out with Tim, D Rob and Malik, that was too heavy for their frontline. You guys came back in two games in SA where the Spurs had huge leads, thats what pissed me off about that Spurs team is they could dominate and then just lose all control and focus in a second and blow it, still my fave Spurs team of all times! They were so deep and had young talent, something today they ARE NOT :( I miss these days man, peace.

the only reason the mavs even got there is becuz CWEBB got injured. the kings were the best team in basketball that yr (2002 also) and if Cwebb hadnt been injured dallas wouldve been destroyed

Bottom LINE DIRK OR NOT the Spurs were going to beat anyone that year after they beat LA, Dallas won game one one a huge comeback, game two was a blowout and game three was all SA, then Dirk got HURT, they were up 2-1 basically when he got hurt. Dallas fans will say otherwise, but seriously nobody was fukkin with SA DOWN LOW THAT YEAR, period. SA was just too tough in that series and that year in the playoffs. They blew some games, but they were the best.

The Nets who were beating the gritty Pistons teams and went to the finals two years in a row? The Spurs dethroned the 3 time CHAMPION LAKERS, the THREE TIME Lakers which no OTHER team could seem to come close to or even dream of at that time. That Spurs team was fukkin deep as hell, sleep all you want to but look at the roster, they were young talented and very deep and had grit. Like I said nobody was fukkin with SA that year, period.

BTW your team was not fukkin with the Spurs, you guy stole that game one on some bullshyt annual SA collapse in games (They did that in both they lost to you), but seriously you did not dominate or control a single game in that series from beginning to end, Spurs seemed to give games away that year to keep it interesting and make us fans crazy. Dallas front line was horrible, no Dirk or Dirk in a 7 game series they could not touch Duncan, D Robinson or Malik, they banged on Dallas.

Webber was out of the series, that went 7 too and Mavs prevailed. Had Chris been there I think it would have definitely been SA and the Kings in the conference finals. Mavs fans say well Dirk got hurt and this went 6, but Webber got hurt too and that went 7 so what does that say? I am just saying. Spurs were a great team that year but blew stupid games they had won, that pissed me off EVERY DAMN TIME. This series should have been over in 5, Mavs played with heart.

Oh yeah NO DOUBT, how the hell the Spurs blew that huge lead in that game one is beyond me, it pissed me off. I can't believe they blew that big lead in game 5 either, that one was even worse because Dirk was out. When they focused they controlled the series easily, but that team that year played around too much and blew games they had one (FRUSTRATED the HELL out of me).

Great game, plus I totally agree, one of my fav Mavs teams ever. I also liked the 2006/07 team with new guys (Terry, Howard, Stackhouse, Harris) and that brutal 7-game series vs Spurs!

the championship was of the mavs that year because they were the best team in those playoffs but I guess that steve kerr was key and the ankle of dirk was the only things that beat the mavs

This was the year the mavs were suppose to win the championship it was probably karma that messed up dirk's ankle after he stepped on malik's rose ankle.

karma should have punisched the spurs for not fouling while rose was lying on the floor, especially Popovich. He should have told his team to foul in order to get rose some mediacal attention.You cannot expect your opponent to give up easy points .
This is one of the many reason why I hate the Spurs.

There are two other good games that would make a nice video like game 1 of the 2003 playoffs against the blazers or game 2 against the suns in the 2005 playoffs. Also game 4 of the 2001 playoff series against the spurs and game 3 of the same year against the utah jazz

Those games you mentioned were great, unfortunately right now I don´t have any of them. I think I will post some olympic games from Germany the next couple of days. Dirk and Kaman crushed Angola yesterday.

Are you going to put that game Germany and Angola game. Where did you get the games?
