  • que maravillosa canción. espero encontrarla en alguno de los muchos discos que tengo de este grupazo...¿alguién sabe donde está?

  • I'm not sure the CIA can solve Blixa Bargeld though...

  • the amish neubauten song of choice

  • If he were from Pennsylvania, they would bomb the piss out of it trying to destroy any vestige of art left in the world! Yes, it is pure genious, diabolically so.

  • it's not narcisism and it's not sadness. bands don't write their videos screenplay. generally i don't like musical videos, because most directors dont event understand what kind of emotion they should try to give.

  • @neroodio "bands don´t..." is a wrong term, when you talk about EN. ;-)

  • ... and it is... Eden is flooded... the Rhine, the Oder und the Spree are going to break the banks....

  • looks like a cross between beck and jack white

  • @augustwest1313 he was a fully fledged industrial legend before either of those people were even born.............

  • excellent

  • 66 people don´t have a garden.

  • Idk, but dis song is so awesome :-)))

  • genius

  • hehe wie geil hab 3 brüste

  • Golliwogg APPROVES of this song.

  • I saw them play this one live, and he explained it simply, that he overheard some cute old ladies talking one time, and one of the ladies said this phrase, and it caught him, struck him.....

  • Balagan,dzieki za tto

  • ahhhhhhhhhhhhh this song!!!!!!

  • German Peter Murphy.

  • 65 People lived in the "Einstürzenden Neubauten"

  • alhambra, 1 of the best places on earth, more than you can imagine, christian ....

  • Creepiest marionette show ever.

  • i love this song.. he's like a puppet with invisible ''chords''.. loose yourself in sadness and find you in the garden.. the secret place that loose your sences and become real.. this sound- scream at 5:05 its irresistable...

  • Celui qui ne savait pas pleurer

  • W O N D E R F U L L

    fascinating

  • I like the part where he sings "You can find me if you want me in the garden unless it's pouring down with rain."

  • i think this is his genius

  • Fantastique !

  • I didn't really care for this at first, but for some reason, I want to.

To counteract the former, I will listen enough times to raise my level of appreciation for the...genre and increase the amount of appreciation for the song.

  • scarecrow.

  • *I've been listening to this song for years now, and have only just seen this. It made me realize: Why waste loads of money and time on a horrible commercial music video for a wretchedly vapid song product, when you can simply write a beautiful melody and just do this. Thanks for reminding me what it is to be quality.

  • Note to self - never ask Blixa for directions

  • Loslassen, Ruhe und Pause!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Haha! No, what the hell is this? -_-

  • is he talking about bugs in a garden?

  • i think its about drugs. Specifically opiates.

    think about it.

  • this brings back memories from my younger days, yet makes them feel almost beautiful simultaneously. their early work kind of opened my mind to what music could be shared and expressed from us, while also just helping me to connect, becoming more comfortable and in tune with it and in a way, everything else..kind of the opposite of narcissism really..to each their own, friend.

  • Well then .. I'm not sure what to make of this. But oddly, I find myself watching it. Over. And over. LOL .. :/

    VEXING.

  • this was awesome, i didn't take my eyes off of him, i was so mesmerized that when the video stopped i saw his image in the blackness XD his shape was burned into my retina lol like one of those optical illusions :P

  • @LoveTheVoiceWithin yeswssssssss

  • @LoveTheVoiceWithin Stop being so obsessed.

  • @LoveTheVoiceWithin u need to see an optometrist. then follow up with a trip to the shrink!

  • Okay so now if it's raining, where's he gonna be?

  • @xtrafoot at the spring of consciousness.

  • I was reading other comments and they all came to differnt conclusions on what this meant and I think this was meant to find out how you think. Just look at it, some people think of it as stupid, others brilliance. I seen abandonment as in when he is actually needed he is no where to be found, but another may see it as in getting out of a bad situation. Look into the song, then back at yourself and you will find what you hate or love most in yourself or others.

  • So I clicked stumbleupon and came across this, not exactly sure what I came across.

  • SeriouslyWeird. If it's snowing, then it's not raining. So you will find him in the garden. My question is: where will you find him if you don't want him?

  • you will find me if you want me in the garden.. how many ways, all differing human beings can process this. human beings, pack creatures. some more animalistic than others. what is a garden? aesthetics, some may say.. nourishment... the larger picture, magnify to the individual entities that exist inside of it.

  • what if it snows? could you be more specific?

  • "You may think that's his narcissism... I'm sure that's his sadness."

and i'm sure it's something else...

  • ach...blixa....so oft live gesehen....der größte poet dieser zeiten...mein gott, wie ich diesen mann liebe seit über 25 jahren......

    unerreicht dieser tage

  • If it's pouring down with rain I think he will be in the shed.

  • Huhh, heartbreak grass...forever green? no, forever grey. Unforgettable.

  • @funkypost hahahahahhahhahahaaaa!!

  • Nlixa Bargeld

wonderfull master in expressing thoughts and/or moods

makes a dialoge with music/rythm in his own approach

    always very appreciated by me

no thinkpaths preprojected view/sight/... (to ...).

  • 59 people will not be invited to the garden. I love this song! x

  • I can't find him, its been pouring down with rain.

  • I love your description

  • but I do want you, mr. bargeld.

  • Time to get the fuck outta the garden as your mom just called and she is looking for her HAT!

  • @funkypost he don't need that... he's a Genius

  • @funkypost I think you're right, but in this case, he has managed to remain pretty obscure :) Still, as beautiful as this song is, the repetition does wear me out a little sometimes.

  • @funkypost

Appereantly you try to get attention and to be funky .

Blixa Bargeld has insight to things of matter so no obscuredy possible to be blamed

if you do not know where you speak about it is better to be silent

look for headcleaner !. ( Einstürzende Neubauten = Collapsing Newbuildings) ;-)

  • isn't' narcissism its total sadness , pessimism, weakness , depression

    a call for help

  • There is an eerie resemblance with Arvo Part's Cantus in Memory of Benjamin Britten from Tabula rasa. Bizarrely also an album by EN is called Tabula rasa. Great track anyway.

  • 240p Does not do this justice...

  • That is some amazing video editing.

  • all what this band produces is deeply profound, Møller Denmark

  • kinda reminds me of In The Rain by Sol Invictus (watch?v=gjwccAmZrSY). The Garden got released in 1996, In The Rain in 1995. Coincidence? I don't know.

  • One of my favorite bands. :]

  • i like the garden to me it seems like another song about nagorny karabach

  • translate it it into propper grman and U will understand....

  • When I got to the garden, there was a sign that said "Be back soon, out to lunch."

    It wasn't raining. :(

  • his hands freak me out...

  • I like this, it's so earnest. honest, even. A good homage.

  • this settles for art? goddamn...

  • @polifkaklok *polifkaklok commented on My Chemical Romance

"That was a really impressive live performance. "*

    laughs

  • hi is absolutly perfect i need him im my garden NOW

  • Perfect

  • I love how they can take something so mechanical and make it so beautiful and emotional. At around 3 minutes is one of the most gorgeous things I have ever heard.

  • correct me if im wrong, but didnt that beiber song feature ludacris? not that i like the shit, but when you said it had this band in it...i HAD to check

  • residents ???

  • @MarinMin

You think? I like The Residents, but aside from the minimalism, I don't hear a similarity.

  • geiler song.das neue album is gut gelungen!

  • No saw them twice over the pond in 1982 I recall

  • Lyrics (thru transcribe audio):

you time needed here and leave them alone / understand lorena / role / you will immediately will mean that the other / elicit lorraine album with / i mean that you won't be in midtown / unless lorraine / homeless / you primary issue along the end of the job / unless it roaring brown with thing

You dvd one of the year / oh unless it's lorraine / nalang / you have finally in the long awaited / unless its been raining not only / you have minus she loved it... etc

  • hey, where does this you may think that's his narcissism...sadness?

i want to read it whatever that is

  • syd barrett

  • @freealbion syd would of loved this for sure....true fucking music with soul and power

  • @freealbion

    Re: Syd Barrett

    Nice mate. Nice.

  • What's great about his music is how much emotion is in it. You never know what the lyrics will be, you never know when the notes will turn up or down. It's beautiful music, in my opinion. And so is his voice.

  • hauntingly cool as shit.

  • I wish this would be your garden.... :)

  • so like. i went in my garden. and it wasnt raining. but he wasnt there...where did he go!!!

  • I WANT UUUUU

    but i can't find uuuu

    but I m sure I WANT UUU

  • Dude! He's my gardener!

  • DUDE HES IN MY GARDEN!!

  • It is truly a shame that Neubauten didn't have the courage to break up before they became pop wantabes. They came out hard & turned into this!!! so sad.

  • @woogado2 they may not be as hard as their first years, but thats definitely NOT pop.dont be narrow minded!

  • @woogado2 Pop Wanna-bes? I don't exactly here this when I hear the moronic Top 40 hits.

  • @woogado2 Yeah! I particularly hate that new song: Justin Bieber - "Baby" ft. Einsturzende Neubauten. What sell outs *sad face*

  • "You may think that's his narcissism... I'm sure that's his sadness." brilliant

  • Nope not there either. Wrong garden I guess.

  • Lovely! coming to sweden now in Novembre!! SWWWEEEEET!!

  • I went to the garden and I didn't find him. And it didn't even rain. Liar :(

  • I'm sorry, I'm still unclear about this. Where exactly will I find him?

  • I cannot find out where he can be found... I've already been searching in the garage!

  • @SubconsciousGatherer dont worry whatever the weather he'll be in the garden

  • @SubconsciousGatherer

    You won't.

  • @SubconsciousGatherer in the garden! :D

  • @SubconsciousGatherer you will find him definetly in the garden

  • @skosza Unless it's pouring down with rain, that is.

  • @SubconsciousGatherer in the garden of the ALHAMBRA, Granada, Spain

  • @SubconsciousGatherer aaahahahahahaha

  • A German joke is no laughing matter....

  • Very cool

  • Einer muss warten, wenn alle nur suchen. ;)

  • I agree...It sure is sadness.

  • EN Meine absolute Lieblingsband

    waarum?

weils das nur einmal gibt, geil und intelligent und genau mein geschmack !

  • Bad ass Band????? There no other man on a planet, who can write such songs! When you dont spend your Youth in berlin when the wall came down, with Speed in the morning, Speed in the Evening..and speed in the Night...you cannot understand you Quarter human...lol

  • @TheRedukt

I believe the term "badass" is actually a positive expression. Oh those wacky semantic shifts...

  • @TheRedukt "basass" means "hammer" ;)

  • @TheRedukt yeah... badass is a good thing in america its not an insault its a complement. like saying something is badass means something is awesome.

  • badd ass song from a bad ass band!

  • @mcrage81 fuck you!!

  • @mcrage81

You don't need to have a good voice to express yourself. Besides, that's relative, I find his voice to be a nice one.

  • @mcrage81 By all means, do better. Blixa is one of the most important people the world has produced in the last hundred years. You, by comparison, like Lucciano Pizzichini. Enough said.

  • @mcrage81 I take it you don't know what singing is then

  • @mcrage81 Are you saying that -- as he is "unable to sing" -- it is just good fortune that Blixa manages to hit every note in the song? What are the odds?! Perhaps Einsturzende Neubauten create rifts in time that allow them to play one song infinitely; so their tone deaf singer will "almost surely" get it right eventually. Monkeys, typewriters, etc... I'm sorry, I find your explanation too elaborate to be believable.

  • @RH98 In the guy's defense, his singing is pretty ragged...almost out of tune, but I think it's his tone... Either way, it's a stylistic choice, and makes the times when he comes in with crystalline tonality (such as 2:15) the most gorgeous line you have ever heard. I think it's an interesting use of tonal contrast.

  • The scream at the end was quite uneccessary

  • @msmedved yeah it kinda was necessary

  • you will find me if you want me in the garden..unless its...

    down with rain...

    you will find me...

    if

    you

    want me

    in the garden...

  • Someone commented here that it's reminiscent of Arvo Pärt. Yes that's right! The falling violin tones (raindrops?) strongly remind me of his 'Cantus in memory of Benjamin Britten'.

  • @peterferguson95 you are right! Though I knew both songs well I had never noticed the ressemblance! Good spot.

  • I'm sure that's an awesome hat.

  • Haven't heard this in years and I still love it Blixa you are the man!

  • blixa!! why the hell are you not chillin in my garden, ive got an air compressor ready and willing!

  • Thank god someone finally posted this I had heard this song long ago and could not remeber the name of the artist.

  • I find it rather romantic.

  • that's not narcissism or sadness, sounds more like he's enjoying his garden :-)

  • I'm quite sure this is what sex sounds like.

    Fuck it's good.

  • The beginning looks like KRAFTWERK "Die Telefon anrufe" but Einsturzende Neubauten is far more extreme and deeper than many kraftwerk work

  • Which album is this from?

  • @jamesusillXD

"Ende Neu" is the title of the album

  • @AlexBerlin06 Thanks! =]

  • Comment removed

  • @33stormboy hahahaha

  • hehe i like that singing scarecrow in the ed sullivan show

  • Es ist erstaunlich, was für eine Wirkung blixa allein mit schwarzem Hut, Anzug und sparsamer Gestig erreicht. Das Video ist zu keiner Sekunde langweilig.

  • narcissism is sadness...

  • @dianabernoulli

    I like you.

  • @dianabernoulli When you have no one to love but yourself, nothing to look up to but the reflection in the pond... When you have no match, no equal and even in a room full of people you are helplessly alone, Some often find refuge in Art to express our darkest feelings so we won't drown in them...

  • @MidnightSkyline as such, you are more than likely excluding yourself from the joys of life by being too self centered. I intensely dislike people like you, because you parade your suffering around like a fucking badge of honour, and you carry on like no one has ever had to deal with what you're dealing with, like the fates have come together to make sure you're the most depressed and suffering individual on the planet. Like i said, way too self centered, too self important, and no humour.

  • @ecclesiasticous Word! I'm with you on that one, I'm sick and tired of those people. Won't say more, 'cos you said most of it already. Nicely put =)

  • @ecclesiasticous It's not a matter of parading the suffering, it is just what comes out... I for instance, am a pretty cheeful fellow, I have friends, I go to parties, I laugh, tell jokes... But no matter what is my mood, when I sit down to write my heart out, my work comes out mostly bleak... I can write about almost anything anyone can ever ask me, even sunshine and bunnies, but when its my story... it gets dark... I have tried to make them more happy, but it just feels like a fake smile...

  • @MidnightSkyline I think gloom is a part of being a human.. and art is how we express it

  • @MidnightSkyline I understand what you mean man. I am the same way.

  • @dianabernoulli Read some Rand

  • @greenghost2008 That is the worst advice I have ever heard.

  • @madguava says the person who hasn't read Atlas Shrugged.

  • Comment removed

  • @madguava Why do you say that?

  • @dianabernoulli like
