I was reading other comments and they all came to differnt conclusions on what this meant and I think this was meant to find out how you think. Just look at it, some people think of it as stupid, others brilliance. @RH98 In the guy's defense, his singing is pretty ragged...almost out of tune, but I think it's his tone... Either way, it's a stylistic choice, and makes the times when he comes in with crystalline tonality (such as 2:15) the most gorgeous line you have ever heard. I think it's an interesting use of tonal contrast.
