We all know black people played a huge part in pioneering hip hop but the thing is it wasn't just black people. Hip hop started in the Bronx. There were a lot of black people living there at the time but there were a lot of other races like italians, asians, and hispanics. There were white people who helped out too. The Rocksteady Crew's only non-white member was Crazy Legs and he was Puerto Rican. You can't forget about people like Rick Rubin and the Beastie Boys.
