Chris is not a Billy Sheehan wannabe!!!!! I grew up with him and I also have hung with Sheehan before he was with Mr. Big and even before David Lee Roth hired Sheehan and Steve Vai. Watch your mouth and CREDENTIALS as well as your abilities "mahalabjpm"!!!!! You seem like the type that would hold a violin like a guitar and start playing it as such. FOOL!!!!!
I remember seeing Chris Play in my hometown of Hudson Falls NY at a converted theater (Tuffco) with East Wall. I was 15 at the time and just started playing bass. I watched Chris play and it completely blew my mind. I was floored to say the least. To be honest it really inspired me to get good at bass. Fast forward to 2011 and now I am making my living as a pro bass guitar player in the Gulf Cost region of the US. Thanks Chris.
i like chris, im glad he is where he is, tell jerry c i said hi chris and as far as the cult, good 4 u man, f all these jealous smalbany fucks, rock on ,,,,
he started playing hwne he was 14, this in 2 years! wait, he definitely doesn't look 16 :S i might be wrong though. but seriously, wow. abit too much of a flurry of notes for my taste but still great, none the less.
i guess just keep practicing. there are alot of times i will find something impossible to do, and then practice it and within a month it is second nature to me
Yeah, nothing amazing at all, I see 16 year olds all over the place playing like this. LOL! Actually I used to rehearse next to his band in Schenectady NY back in the early 90's. Yes, he sounded an awful lot like Sheehan, but trust me, he was an amazing player back then (guessing about 4-5 years after this vid was taken). I just love people who live to troll around youtube tearing down others. Hilarious.
The dude was only 16 years old when this video was made! He has gone on and developed his own style over the years. Give the negative jealous remarks a rest.
he must have been metallica's bassist

It's hard to get any better than this...amazing right hand technique, I've never seen such versatile playing ability in a bass player.

What's worthy about playing like someone else? He is very fast, a very good player, but plays exactly like Billy Sheehan. :(

Because each of us has a style, and that doesn't mean you're a bad player - you're just not like that ;^)
Ask Miles Davis - he couldn't play like Dizzy Gillespie, but still was an amazing player.
